I am recommending blockchain wallet for you to use. I have problem using coinbase when I started bitcoining. I don't know if it is just me or what, but my addresses there are changing, and I got confused on how to use it, so I changed to blockchain's wallet. And used also my country's app, coins.ph.
I'm also preferred in the blockchain wallet but if your country have an own wallet you should use it because it is easy to use it and you can communicate to their support easily if their is a problem that happens.

There are hundreds of wallets available online, why would you ask some strangers for advice?
Do your homework - research internet, compare different reviews, listen to professionals!

Asking advice is also kind of homework, how could you listen to professionals if you don't ask?  Grin.

Just give a better idea for people who ask help and the answers maybe can also help to thus who also has this kind of concern.

I used coins.ph for a long time and this is my trusted wallet partner sense I enter here.

i think blockchain will be one of your options to use another wallet besides coinbase. i don't like coinbase die to that reason. blockchain is your solution, you don't need to download the full blockchain and the users allowed to make a sign message for every transaction.

Ya. I suggest blockchain too. I also dont like coinbase.
I used blockchain from starting i know bitcoin. Its working fine so far.

Before I can suggest you a Bitcoin wallet, where do you want to store your Bitcoin? Computer/laptop or phone? What phone do you use? iOS devices or Android?
If you want to store your Bitcoin on computer/laptop and don't want to download the full blockchain then I will suggest you to use Electrum, it's safe and lite wallet.
If you want to store your Bitcoins on phone and have iOS device, I will suggest BreadWallet since it's one of the safest wallet out there for phone.
Unfortunately I dont have any wallet recommendation for Android devices since I do not use them.
Cheers

I like a lot electrum. You can even use bitkey.io which is a USB Linux with electrum inside and when you start it you can choose automatically to disconnect internet so you have a real cold wallet. You sign TX and put it in a USB memory and you broadcast it after restarting PC with watch only account.

There are a couple of good wallets both online and offline and the fees are high and the terms and conditions are rough. Most of them do not have legal rights to operate to USA customers and that only stops about half of them. That means that if you are lucky enough to get on those and get approved, then they can easily bail on your cash, as they have no legal responsibility to you as you have broken the law in doing business with them .

Depending on your needs but I would suggest Mycelium, do far the best wallet I've tried. Easy and convenient to use, you can control the fees. Electrum is also good, many users are satisfied with it. But I would suggest to avoid web based wallets like blockchain. At first seemed to be good but actualy it has a lot of issues.

The beat bitcoim wallet that I know is the coins.ph.Coins.ph is an online bitcoin walletbin where you can keep your bitcoin and in where you can sell a load and got an interest for every transaction that you do.

Well coinbase wallet is good one to continue with, even i am using it from long time and then i stopped  using them  for disabling the sign message.
For now i am using the Unocoin exchange and their services which is working smoothly and the second option is ZEBPAY app . This both are quite good and their fees is also less for me, as i am a Indian resident and this two are the best wallet for Indians. I request you to try this wallet for once and if you feel comfortable then you can continue with it.
