This is stupid. It gave me a confirmation @ 9.30PM that I claimed successfully. Now when I logged in it asked me to claim again and this time the amount was very small.  Free is free. Can't complain. |

Guys DON'T ACCEPT this. No one had a fair chance. We waisted our time and were PROMISED a fair chance of first come first served. Many were ready even before the start, but could not sign for almost 1 to 2 hours. Don't let these devs get away and get rich with these BS. To make it fair to all of us, they should over do this. FAIR CHANCE TO EVERYONE  What you suggest? What can we do? I think there is not much we can do about this. I am not happy too because sooner I claimed 100 mil and now 10 after few hours. We can keep push them to cancel this round, so basically reject all the sign ins and start a new and fair round where everyone has a fair chance to register without server fail. Now it was total bullshit and not any ounce of fairness. Devs should be ashamed, if they want to go on with this reputation sticking to the project. |

So it didn't go too smoothly, but I guess it was kinda expected to be a big chaos. Had to retry like 5 times until I finally got in, and was probably luckier than most. But then, just think about it: - 10000 people hammering on one site in the same second is just bound to end up in a huge traffic jam. GoDaddy is not AmazonAWS, but it's a lot cheaper.
- "it's not fair": damn straight. That's what the rules said: harmonic series. That's not a fair distribution by definition. Also "but I was first/early": yeah, at your keyboard, but your internet protocol package was not at their servers.
- Basically, this was (probably intended to be) a huge lottery. For that, I think it went reasonably well given the resources one could expect from a bunch of people with ideas but no money.
So I'm cool. Bunch of BS ... even if it's free, they promised fair chance to everyone. It's about principles. They could expect this since they wanted a "GLOBAL CURRENCY FOR EVERYONE WITH INTERNET ACCESS" You can expect that there are millions of people with internet access. |

FAQ Except : When you get to the 100th claimant they only get 100m POW 'lite' and when you get to the 1000th claimant they only get 10m POW 'lite'. It carries on in that manner. The idea is to encourage a stampede (emphasis mine) Well...
