The news seems fake but I will not be surprised that in future they finally accept. It is getting every time more social impact and it is limited supply value will only increase. I read in Switzerland they allow you to pay tax in BTC here is the link http://fortune.com/2017/09/12/switzerland-chiasso-bitcoin-tax-zug/It is pretty obvious they try to get a bunch of it, so even if this gouvernement starts doing it, how big companys wont start doing the same? |

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

The news is pretty good. I believe this is the beginning of Bitcoin's progress. hopefully, the price can be more expensive next year.

That fake news created a lot of buzz all because if Amazon would finally get into the Bitcoin bandwagon then it can really be a big news and a big boos to Bitcoin as it can push the coin to be a utilized currency in everyday commerce and not just a store of value and a vehicle of speculation like it is now. Now, while it was not really true and Amazon did not became a part of Bitcoin -- yet -- there is a big possibility that in the near future Amazon would finally feel the need to add Bitcoin as part of the many ways to buy their products online. once Amazon would come in we could expect others to also follow the lead. And it would be a big catalyst that can help push Bitcoin's value even higher. |

If this is not another fake that is very good. The inability to buy goods with bitcoins is in my opinion the biggest flaw of all crypto currencies. If Amazon really will give us the opportunity to buy goods with bitcoin it will make bitcoin as transparent for the government and we save money on exchange.

Probably fake news, but it would be really good for whole crypto world if some global company like Amazon started accepting BTC for payment. The other companies would follow soon in order not to lose part of the market and it would be great time for all of us in cryto. We can dream, it will happen sooner or later.

If Amazon will accept bitcoin then the news will be wide spreaded in different sites especially the social media sites and a lot of sites that makes news about bitcoin will surely launch it but it seems that there is no signs that the news or about this thread is true because the amazon is still not accepting bitcoin and even though it will not widely spreaded then we can actually see the growth in the price.

Amazon tries to make popular Amazon Pay and now you want to say that they will support bitcoin? There is no way. They even ask you to confirm your card when you order something on different adress, so bitcoin is very far from this. Despite the fact of how popular bitcoin will be in future, they won't accept it or there will be some service provider where you will be able to deposit with bitcoin and then get visa card which will be accepted by amazon + id card verification, limitd and etc.
It's something similar of saying that ebay and google will accept bitcoin over paypal and google pay.

Yea even I have heard about Amazon accepting bitcoin as payment. That would really be good if Amazon starts accepting payments in bitcoins that would be really helpful and I have high hopes about this.

i think so someone spreading rumors about amazon as amazon is big dealing company of online nowadays it's natural to have rumors news. without government official announcement regarding bitcoins no one can make it official because it will be illegal.

I reaally want to believe this news is true but since the website you mentioned is not a trusted news source I don't think its true. This kind of news would have been caught by the like of coindesk or the reddit bitcoin community but since no trusted news source said anything , this news is defiantly fake. Please next time try to check the authenticity of the news before posting here and getting everyone excited.

Sure this would be nice in terms of bitcoin mass adoption or as a support to BTC in general.
But lets be realistic: to do business or especially a trade business like amazon does BTC at the moment is way too volatile.
If there are 20% swings in value compared to any fiat currency in one day it would be really hard for amazon to calculate their business.
Furthermore there are other problems that are not really solved at the moment, ie the number of transactions in a given timeframe or even legal issues.
So imo its a long way for bitcoin to get there.
I say its possible and also i believe in it but it will take some time.
No need to hype yet.

This might be pure speculation only, but it is benefiting BTC, and giving a increase in BTC value. More news like this would be so good for BTC! If Amazon accepts, then this would make BTC increase it's value more and more, because many people would start using BTC for buying stuff on Amazon!
