Amazon still doesn't accept Bitcoin and to be honest I'm surprised because it becomes more and more popular and cheaper to use. Lightning Network seems to work pretty well so I don't think there would be any issues with the speed and the cost of each transaction. It's high time Amazon started accepted Bitcoin payments. It would have a huge impact on its price because there are many people who would use their service to buy for example graphics card.

If this story is true, then it is going to be a good boost for not just the bitcoin, but for every other cryptocurrency wallet because in no time they will be accepted by several prominent institutions as well.

We have to be careful about such news as regards cryptocurrency. However, it will be great if Amazon adopts Bitcoin as payment system. Bitcoin value will appreciate appreciably. What, in my opinion, may happen is that they may fix the dollar value for an item pegged to a dollar amount while the Bitcoin equipment price can be fluctuating. It could change up to two times in the day.Since the items are online, the buyer will need to pay within a particular time frame or else the cost could up or down. Each day transaction in Bitcoin can be exchanged to fiat. With that , in my opinion, they will not loose as a result .

Well... now a days...many ecommerce and other companies are attach in crypto as of now...and amazon is a big company...many of them have partnership with this online shopping store. And I have seen a lot of them..like repay.me,retail.global and other projects.

Anything can happen when it comes to the issue of acceptablity. Amazon needs to accept to ease operations and pay less of taxes and less of easy access to their money even to vendors.

That rumor has actually been going on for more than a year but we are yet to find any concrete proof or even a whisper from Amazon to show that they are even going to consider it, By accepting it it would bring a huge boost to Bitcoins and perhaps the other Altcoins as well. |

I don't think Amazon yet ready to accept bitcoin as a payment gateway, however if they do, it will indeed be huge boost for bitcoin and will get more popularity. Because million of people use amazon and will see the logo of bitcoin.

The news seems to be fake news we have to wait for official announcement because without government interaction it is not possible to accept bitcoin.
That's why people should wait for official announcement from the owner of Amazon.
Yeah, you are correct. We need the official announcement, dont just believe to one source, search for the truth. Bitcoin doesnt use any tax so there is a hard interaction between government and bitcoin. How they will make a tax from using bitcoin as a money. |

The likelihood is small that amazon will receive bitcoin, if it happens bitcoin will be more valuable than before and amazon will also benefit from it. Amazon runs in different countries they also have to convince the government. I do not think the government will allow it easily just like that.  |

It is not confirmed that this is a genuine news or not but after applying little common sense, I don't think that these large corporations will adopt bitcoin or any external cryptocurrency at least at this stage because the volatility is extremely high in the crypto market and considering the turnover of these corporations, even 1% negative fluctuation would cause the loss millions of dollars for them so they are less likely to take such risk at least at this stage.

This is a very good news if this news is true because amazon is the largest online market and has maximum number of users just like bitcoin which has millions of investors to invest in and moreover if amazon starts accepting bitcoin, then I think it will boost up the growth of amazon because there are milk of bitcoiners for them it would be very much convenient to buy something in exchange of bitcoin because bitcoins are the thing in which they are dealing day and night and then obviously it will boost up the growth of amazon and even amazon will also reach to upper level of digitalisation. |

Given the size and reach of Amazon, I wouldn't be so sure that they will just accept Bitcoin or another pre-existing coin. They could launch their own coin with Amazon-specific perks and do pretty good.
