nope, chrome firefox IE still no go. and when trying to connect to what I think the stratum (stratum+tcp://hcn.pool.cat:3333) "cant see getstarted so guessing" I get constant reconnects and no accepted shares

Sure, api uses non standard ports like (8xxx), it's possible that firewall of your network blocks access to this non common ports...

They have good support of cryptonight coins. For now they have listed CharnaCoin (cryptonight algo). It is not big exchange, but for start it's good.
