But make sure you are buying the right coin. It would be useless if you buy on the dip if the coin have no real use. Only hype can bring its price up. Invest on altcoins that have real use and you will not worry that in the future its price will go up.

 My personal opinion its that investing in altcoins its a good option but you must be careful to the following things :
1) The company must have potential for growth and you will determine that if they have an idea which is solid and its something that is really missing from the market.
2) It must have active people backing the company and his idea.
3) To be transparent and to update about their progress.

Regarding the equity shares its wise to diversify your portfolio and have a combination of shares and altcoins.

Of course its wise to invest only what you afford to lose as all of this are unpredictable and you can not know for sure what it might happen.

But higher the risk higher the profit.........

shopping time still depend from how btc worth and like you have said right now is a good timing while btc are trying to bounce up to 4.5k$ again and
alts are in also trying to recover seems to be a positive sign for most traders right now just needed to research and read the current movement.

Absolutely invest in altcoins. Think about it like the stock market: would you just try to pick the one very best stock and only buy that? Or would you try to identify the best in several different fields across different parts of the economy and diversify your portfolio? Buying altcoins decreases the risk profile of your overall holdings.

I myself choose to invest with altcoin because I think this year the price of altcoin soared.
especially for ETH because this coin is very interesting and may be the best altcoin to invest.

What i found a bit frustrating is that when bitcoin goes down almost all altcoins go down too. I hope this will change in 2018, maybe the altcoins can hold there own

And waiting for what will happen After China ban exchanges

There are great altcoins  to invest to. Just remember to check and research who owns the coin. Just treat as a stock get the coins that has potential to be big in the future. Do not get coins due to hype, always research. You should  also diversify your investment. Do not put all your money in one coin.
