I thing less than 5% of the altcoin are good longterm invest. Many Altcoins get a real hype to the beginn and start with a real big pump, but after some weeks they dump realy hard and dont rise ap anymore. So i would say Altcoins are better for shortterm investments.

I'm not so sure into these days on which we would decide easily on investing on ICO which we can see that there are lots of them popping out from nowhere.It is risky if you do randomly choose up but if you do tied up with good research and investigations then you might hit the right one which would possibly give you some serious profits later on. Buying altcoins are worth but depending on which one do have the possible movement or progress specially on future purposes.

I wonder if there really is anyone still wanting to buy a altcoins in this bad market conditions. ... maybe a few coins can be expected with a small amount of experiment purposes but it is absurd to me to make big investments with high funds. to mention about the essence of the work, I certainly do not recommend getting any coins at the moment. except for ethereum
