I would never go with Ripple which is totally obsolete. Why invest in a coin which is clearly totally centralized with all their "regulations". It just doesn't undergo the term "crypto currency" which the base of it is decentralization.

There's almost no info on BAT on the Internet and that's definitely not good for the coin. Yet of curse there's discussion of it on Reddit and here, so it's not nothing. As for Ripple - well, apart from their own website, there's an article on Wikipedia and exchange websites. I would say the projects are quite different to be compared and, as ripple is already in top 5, I guess we shouldn't expect it going further, whereas the new coin BAT offering an interesting project (rewarding advert's readers and publishers) has more chances to go up. The only bad thing about it all is that I don't see any project the coin is involved in.

I honestly do not see ripple as a cryptocurrency looking at how the idea behind creating it in the first place, however, I cannot really say much about BAT now since it is still kind of new. But if I am forced to have to place my money in the 2, I had rather give it up for BAT even without knowing much about it. These are very different altcoins. Actually you can use Basic Attention Token to block ads, and Ripple is mostly for operation with banks. If you compare the rates of these alts, you’ll see that Ripple is better, but I believe that BAT project has good future. Try to invest in both cryptos.

That's a no brainer, BAT.

XRP is centralised, banks use the protocol NOT the coin or are making their own versions. They have lawsuit problems now as well. I don't really consider it a crypto.

BAT on the other hand has massive potential and is already being used on Brave desktop browser versions, mobile brave payments are on the way soon and it stands to take off big time then. Youtube creators can already receive BAT for their content without having to go through google.
Brave browser is very good, I've been using it from it's infancy, it's getting a lot of attention now and good reviews. The team behind it are solid, Brendan Eich (co-creator of Mozilla and creator of JavaScript) is a part of it and they know what they are doing.
Since BAT is used with Brave browser, the more Brave becomes popular so does BAT. It's going places for sure.
