A brief explainer on the donation model:

"The primary source of energy donations would be the fundraising auctions, and the 0.9% would be received by WPR stakeholders at the time. We anticipate our rate of new projects growing rather than declining as H predicts, but I would also add that the opportunity to sell their own tokens at above-wholesale rates for the relatively minor cost of a 0.9% donation  means that for existing producers, continuing to tokenise and sell energy on the WePower platform would be a perfectly sensible option."

What is the alternative for a renewable energy producer: selling his energy on energy exchanges with the risk of volatile energy price. The same risk appears for the energy buyer. So the producer can sell energy at a fixed rate and the consumer can receive energy at a fixed rate. So it offers a hedge for both of them.

I saw  information that the team plans to launch the platform in late autumn. that is, we have to wait no more than 5 months. We don't have long to wait.

Yes, these features will be unlocked sequentially over time for the next couple of months until we are ready for auctions. Exciting times ahead.
