Have you signed up yrt and tried the platform out for yourself?

You can do so here - http://platform.wepower.network
and it only takes a couple of minutes to get started.

So far it looks really smooth and intuitive to use, it will also be great to see additional utility there soon!
Exciting times ahead.

Our advisor Ricky Li just published an overview of the recent Crypto Market dynamics, focusing on 3 events which had a bigger impact on the price. Get updated! 😉

https://medium.com/wepower/crypto-market-dynamics-regulatory-events-and-overall-sentiment-2c87cb25fc73

We have many fans of Ricky Li over here!  Cool

That's a great article and overview of the Crypto market dynamics.

"WPR is a utility token to be used for early access to auctions and for energy donation distribution on the platform" I understand this part, but I'm not sure I understand the technical reason why it has to be on the actual platform to stake it?

Hey there,

That's a great question, and has been shared with the team! Please be on the lookout for more details. It may have something to do with the fact that it is a utility token, and thus this may be one of the reasons for that consideration. The other reason that I can think of is validation when it comes to delivery of energy tokens from the contributors pool, once we get closer to launch and further, it may be an important piece to making sure there is no manipulation with release of energy tokens.

I hope that helps, and we will be sure to provide further details later down the road!

the complete point of the decentralisation motion that is included with blockchain tech is usually to be in a position to do transactions between two partys with no intervention of, or dependency on, a 3rd party. with this system everything undergoes a third party and central single point of failing, being the webapp. imagine if the server is down because of to specialized issues, unpaid expenses?

Hey, I understand your concern. Right now, the platform is still in the testing stages. So as the platform progresses. The team will definitely address more of the issues that they will be facing! You can find out more about the team here https://wepower.network/team

i am reading about the ERC-20 standard and my question is if the platform to send WPRs has some type of  "emergency token removal" function. I am not necessarily involved with it but I'd like to ask why the ERC-20 standard for WPR? Will there be any newer criteria for this to be achieved

I'm not sure we understand your query regarding 'emergency token removal', what do you mean by this, can you clarify please?

WePower is currently being tested for feasibility on Ethereum, the team are happy to change to another blockchain, should a more suitable blockchain appear!

Hi there Xantrax! The best place to start would be the main site, https://wepower.network - you can get an introduction on the front page and find resources like the white paper and the platform alpha to learn more about the project from there in the menu.

Your question was already answered above, however, we do not understand what you mean by emergency token removal, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2207367.msg43211377#msg43211377
