Its safe to participate in ICO but make sure that you are participating in the right ICO which are likely to be successful. I believe that ICO is one of the new and high gain investment now. But it have high risk too.

With so many ICOs popping up everyday there is a big chance that you will land on a scam ICO if you would participate on it. It would be hard for investors to know which ICO is legit and which is scam. It is not safe, there are a lot of risks involved in investing in ICOs but then again, there are always risks in any coin or any investment that you choose to participate in for that matter. So before you invest you should first make your peace and accept the risks that are involved in investing in it. Also you can also try to significantly decrease the risk involved by doing a lot of research into the ICO before investing.

Not all ICOs bring profits when it is over. This is because not every ICO is successfully marketed by the team behind the token. Some are really good marketers, while others just give you the coin and you two are done as a steak. Pick an ICO that's well funded and has a great team behind it.

Not everything is safe specially when you're investing a lot of money in ICOs. Just spend money you're prepared to lose on the ICO you want. But if you've done your research well, then you should go all in on that alt coin and spend a whole lot to maximize profits.

I think participate in ICO's is good because many ICO's will give you good return on investment. but there is high risk on it, many ICO's will felldown as scam or project failed, before you invest in ICO you should study about it, good team behind good project they all are always update about the projects in social medias. Honestly, I think that it is better for beginners not to think about investing in ICO at all.
