I agree, You will also feel the importance of your family's presence when you are alone in other country working. The sacrifice of being away from them just to give them a better life is one of the way to show them how much we love them. Sadly, there are family members who also take advantage of the person who is working abroad. My prayer is that all of the people can stay in their own country with better opportunities so that they don't have to leave their families. Its not always about the money we can give but also our presence and time to bond with them.
There are a lot of things to consider if you are planning to work abroad. Also, it entails a lot of sacrifice for the part of the family. Life is too short to spend time apart just to earn much money. What is more slapstick reality is that at the end of the day you cannot really turn back time if something happens to any member of the family.

Leaving your country and going to abroad for work really is a lot of sacrifice. You have to adjust in a new place and new environment. You have to adjust with the working place and people and have to make many new habits. So its a lot of sacrifice to make in the abroad.

Plus the risk of having an employer who have no conscience just like what we always saw in the news.  Those who were treated their employees as animals.  In our country, we call those who work overseas as modern day heroes because of the sacrifices they make for their families and for the country.

Yes indeed, a huge great sacrifice to both parties as i see it. To the one who will work abroad and to the family who will be left behind.
The worker will be on his own. No family member to rely on. That is his/her sacrifice. Leaving the family for them to have a better comfortable life ahead.
The family on the other hand is left without the head or the matriarch to depend on in times of need. Solving matters on their own, not even confiding/involving the worker for him/her, not to worry.
You have given great tips. But 1 thing i should add is, the worker should know the location of his/her own embassy in that country just in case something bad went wrong. You'll never know.
If i may add, with today's technology, with the help of skype, messenger, facebook, viber, etc.; all those social media applications, working abroad is not that complicated anymore. You get to talk and see your loved ones that instant as if they are just in the other room.

It is hard for people with family, and yes, It takes a lot of sacrifices if you go there alone in a land you don't know anyone. The worst thing of all is that you cant see your family all of the time and you know that. God bless the modern internet that can provide you hearing with your family online but that is not the same thing. If you have no other choice or you have the better job offered abroad, take the opportunity cause sacrifice can pay up to you and one day your family can come live with you if you want to stay in another country.

Working abroad is a lot of sacrifice. Sacrifice and hardship to the point where you need to leave your family and love ones. Need to sacrifice your time, efforts, and moments that you are together with your family.Indeed the sacrifices and hardships that you experiencing is worth it because its for the family's sake and needs.❤❤

It is not easy to go and work abroad. one will have to sacrifice many things .you will have to adjust to the unknown culture. you will leave your dear ones, miss your culture and country. It is very hard decision to go abroad but if it is unavoidable for your future then sacrifice should be given because to get success you have to take risks and go for sacrifices.

In order to secure your future and make your today good this all must be kept in mind but the more easiest way to earn is to work hard in bitcoin and be millionaire in few years

If working abroad entails a lot of sacrifice, why not stay in your own country instead? Just have a part time or double job just to suffice with the daily need. I think this will work out well.

I agree with your opinion and I will add 1 tip, you want to work abroad to prepare money for your daily life. Do not get in another country you become confused to stay where and eat what. even if you want to work, you have to prepare first, because other countries do not care about you .

Usually than older person than he has more set of "his" things that are surrounded him. Their people, their surroundings, their job and places in the city. The relocation is painful especially for them...

Come on dudes. So many people just DREAM of it - to work abroad.
And when you get the possibility - damn GRAB it, it's not a brainer at all.

Home Sickness is for campers.
Laundry - find a  local place to wash your stuff
Restaurants - posh you need only for occasions - just find decent places to eat out with no posh determination.

The only thing left - to be missing your loved ones.
Here try and Do it yourself. It's hard but overcome it.

In my opinion working abroad needs a lot of sacrifices. You have to deal with a lot of things like being alone and be separated from your family for 2-3 years. In our country we called them "OFW"Overseas Filipino Workers. It was not easy to be away from your family and its not easy to work overseas. Most of the OFW are being harassed and physically abused. So for all the people who are reading this. If your mom or relatives is working abroad please be good to them and be wise on spending the money that they are giving you.  They are working so hard to earn that. so please appreciate them.

Yes in my opinion.Mostly if you have children then staying away for weeks would be easy but years!its a lot of sacrifice. You will also be fighting for homesickness. And even if you are sick you must do your job.So working abroad needs patience and a ton of sacrifice.

Leaving our family is truly big sacrificie if we go abroad. Besides feeling huge longing to our family is a hard thing to do. However if we've decide to go abroad,  we have to be ready for its consequence. What we have to do is surviving in the country where  we are living. In addition, we can have a communication (have a call,  send a message or write an email) with our family everyday in order we won't get homesick or suffer from huge longing.

yes, working abroad is a lot of sacrifice and we can't deny the sacrifice they made for the sake of their love ones. the fact that they choose to leave their family is a big risk and going to another place new for them is much more uncomfortable. they would say if only in our own country have higher salaries and can meet our family needs we would not dare go there.. but then at the ends, its the family welfare is their primary concern that's what they made that decision.

I know that first hand. My maid has a 7 year old son, and she visits him only once every two years. It can be very hard at such a young age. Fortunately for the kid, his relatives are there to take care of him. But even then spending time without parents is going to be quite hard.

It's a sacrifice since you'd have to deal with homesickness (which can lead to depression) not to mention having to work on a small budget. I have relatives working abroad so I know. America and Europe seem fine when it comes to worker's right though. It seems most of the abuse happen in the Middle East, and to some extent East Asia.
There are news nowadays that there are people from middle east particularly saudi and kuwait have most cases of abuse among domestic helpers. Very heartbreaking to imagine that people can actually hurt others just because of their social status. The victims common denominator when it come to abuse are scalding, beating them up and starving these workers.
