Hi! At this moment we have the following information. This week is making PCB with all the elemental base. From Wednesday (28 August) on these boards will be installed by hand all the connectors and will be assembled devices in case. Approximately a week later (5 September), begins shipping devices to me.

where did you get this info from? russian thread? Any information on production capability? (units per day or week)
thanks for the updates though Smiley

Yes, it's from the russian thread. They say 1400 PCBs will be received next Tuesday, which are the whole 1st batch. Then they just have to assemble the devices (case, power supply, connectors).

According to this post:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=186234.msg2954355#msg2954355

Dimensions might be close to 12x23x29 in centimeters.
No mention of the weight yet, but I imagine they will have some heat sinks on them.

I guess it is too early to get shipping cost estimates.

From the Russian thread: testing and shipping will start in the first week of September, for sure. Metabank is buying back orders for 4k$ per device!

P.S. I think it's time for pidobir to get ready with hosting setup: space, power, networking, etc. Wink

Thanks for the update, but there was no news by MetaBank. In a personal call to me it was not possible to know what will be the final electricity consumption. The only thing I learned was that we could take the device to the hosting 4U enclosure with 360 gh/s. Place on a 3 kw/h ready. All electrical cables, patch cords and switches are available. At the moment I do not see problems for the hosting setup. All will pass quickly within 1 day after receiving. Thx.

Rumor started here suggest that maybe they will have 6 cards not 5.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=226846.msg3031831#msg3031831

Looking at the test data from their previous update, they're getting 22 GH/s per card.  That's 242 GH/s with 11 cards; matches up perfectly with the double unit.  Looks like us single unit guys will luck out.  They'll need to use 6 cards, which is 132 GH/s  Cool

Great work, metabank!

Pidobir -
Would you able to find out if they are going to add an extra card to get to the minimum performance spec (132GH/s)?

I'll try to ask about it in the next day. However, knowing that MetaBank chips in limited quantity and rate of 3 gh/chip, most likely the 6th PCB will not be. Now we know, that those who ordered 240 or 360 gh/s have them in one case.
Thx.

According to preliminary information, the chips will work at full capacity.  Overclock the device will not work without changing the cooling system and hardware modifications.

Hi! Some news! Devices have 5,10,15 PCB respectively for nominal 120GH, 240GH and 360 GH devices. Each PCB have 8 chips running at a frequency of 2,65 GH/s. Thus, the real hashrate will be lower by 10-12% of the stated hashrate. However, as said MetaBank, will be able to overclock. Thx!

Some news.
Speed devices is lower by about 20%. All orders MetaBank plans to ship within 3 weeks. Our total order will be shipped probably no earlier than two weeks.
Subject to some changes.
Thx.

I do not think that someone from customers MetaBank enjoy this reduction in hashrate. Maybe something will change. MetaBank says that to achieve the required 120 GH need more time to setting.

Punin wasn't sure if bitfurystrikesback.com's  25GH starter kit would meet the promised hashing rate.
He simply added another 25GH H-board when shipping devices to customers on time.

Customers are now reporting 40-47GH/s hashing rates instead of promised 25GH/s.

They say the devices can be overclocked and tuned to give 120 GH, but this may require soldering, not only software tuning.

Still better than Avalon chips and BFL. Make your conclusions.
