hi there
I wonder why should governments allow bitcoin to continue growing?
after all, they want to have control over the money that we are using

Well, if they do not allow bitcoin to continue growing, they will miss their chance to gain more profit. We know they have concerns with the other not so legal uses of bitcoins but don't they realize that if they can manage to have a great amount of bitcoin, they can virtually control even the online market. Banning bitcoins can only make more people realize that bitcoin is much more better than banking.

The governments cannot completely stop or ban bitcoins in the world because of the high demand it collects from the online community. It is a good opportunity and promotes progress among its users. Bitcoin is more of a currency. It is an asset. Investments in realtion to crypto currency had enabled many rich people from the web.

Governments should allow bitcoin to continue to grow because it is for the better. Bitcoin has been helping many people throughout the years, most of them where able to finish their studies. So, I don't see any reason why we shouldn't accept bitcoin.

It's about profitability and economy wise i suppose, if BTC is helping the economy, stimulating startups there is no reason to ban BTC as long the negative consequences like money laundering, tax avoidance doesn't impact that much i guess. Small government would embrace BTC like foreign investment/source of tax income while the ones with big GDPs would ban it to preserve their main economy, or maybe their population are too much to handle, it's pretty obvious if you check you legalization of Bitcoins in various countries on Wiki, its exactly how it is at least for now.

The Governments should allow the bitcoin community to grow by educating and reaching every one in the country for the development of the country, what ever the Government should be working for benefits of the people, this bitcoin and blockchain community has the potential to eradicate poverty, unemployment of the country and improve the standard of the people which thereby increase the socio economic conditions of the world. The blockchain and bitcoin system provides an extra or an additional income for the people which should be promoted by the Government to enrich the lives of commoners of the world.

My guess here is that the government can regulate the flow of Bitcoins in a country by taxing it. They could let it grow exponential and gain some attention then they'll the hell out of bitcoins. It's a good avenue for them to gain some from bitcoins.

I think they're allowing it not because they want to, it's just that they don't have a control over Bitcoin, to be more precise no one has a control over Bitcoin and it's value, the value depends on economical rule of demand and supply and even if government wants to regulate it, they can't because bitcoin is decentralized.

hi there

They don't have a reason. I'm more surprised that a lot of governments haven't been shutting Bitcoin down to be honest. It's something that will completely disrupt the entire power structure of the world, assuming that it grows in the same way it has been over the past few years. Something completely freeing up the average person so that the work they have actually has value instead of giving them a constantly inflating and depreciating token would completely upend a lot of countries' means of controlling their citizens, and that would be profound in far more ways than you may want to believe. It's almost worrying what could happen should Bitcoin replace the primary financial structures.

I think the governments are trying to protect their market standing. And since the market works on money and reserves as its main medium, it would really affect how the market plays when a new medium would be introduced. I think most of the governments would first want to have laws and regulations to safeguard their interests before fully delving into the market of cryptocurrency.

Your question is realistic but no ideal.A governments wish and job always should be peoples growth  and progress. But yes now a days governments are
corrupted they just want peoples money to get rich at the end of the day.
But there are still some responsible governments who wants peoples growth thats why they allow bitcoin.
Although in most of the country bitcoin volume is so little that  government just ignore this.
But sooner or later they will get in to this with their greed.

Because Bitcoin is the future of digital transactions. The government's main reason why they do not want and they question the idea of Bitcoin is that because, as it promotes free and anonymous transactions, it is being used by criminals for money laundering and illegal transactions.

If the government allows bitcoin to growing then it will give a good effect because bitcoin has a good future it means it could be a jobs for many unemployment problems, could also be one of the state's income because if bitcoin becomes legal then people have to pay taxes for bitcoin that they have and income tax from the profit of bitcoin

If only the Government will understand how you really understand it will help the society. But they will not but always way a way to induce Taxes, and make it difficult for me and you to under the free transactions we are into now.

by allowing bitcoin, governments can also giving the best chance to their citizen to use the best way to make money and people can solve their financial problem with doing something from bitcoin. no matter what is their citizen do, in the end their citizen can make money for better life and if their citizen get success then they can increase their income and the poverty in their country can be solve. this can not achieve in short time but this is need some effort from their citizen too so they can learn and trying something that might give some good result.

I think it will be more better for those countries whose currency has low  value as compare to other  countries currencies, although it will even be better and in favlour of all the countries to have a common currency and same value everywhere. But i think some big countries may not be in their favour. But i am sure that when they will realize their importance they will surely give more preference to bitcoin then and will turn it as legal currency.

Because bitcoin affects economic life in everyone, family, society, even country. Besides bitcoin getting here the bigger the investment. And I think maybe bitcoin will be the most important economic factor, because we can see from the profit and income from bitcoin. Bitcoin can also meet our daily needs.

Because I think if the government makes regulations about bitcoin transactions and impose taxes in it, then the country will get a lot of revenue from there that can be used for the development of the country to be more advanced again.
yeah considering bitcoin are free from tax it's frequently abused , people put their money in bitcoin to avoid tax payer. it's risky indeed but still favorited. we live in an advanced technology era , things could always adjusted. if government want a tax just do research about bitcoin and figure out how to deal with it , not just take a simple action to ban everything about bitcoin.

It is just simple. The government must allow bitcoin usage to continue to grow because obviouslu even small time people can gain benefit on it in a sense that they can earn an income through it which can sustain their daily life needs and can somewhat  lessen the case of wide proverty which is present in the society because the money they can gain from bitcoin will be a thing to be a key on the turning point of their lives of having a prosperous life that can build s strong and productive nation.

Bitcoin is the solution for the cheap transaction of cash to anywhere in the world without the aid of a third party. With this alone, it can justify that the government should let Bitcoin be and encourage its growth. However, since Bitcoin is decentralized and the government want to control just everything, the likes of the government is a total opposite of what Bitcoin is that's why we can see some countries that are opposing Bitcoin. Though some compromised and accept Bitcoin.

This might affect government's income. Money transfer businesses are losing money from it which results to less government taxes being paid. Maybe the reason why government is somehow allowing bitcoin to grow is because it is not violating anything. And when bitcoin is successful they might formulate a new crypto currency that can be used around the wolrd.
