That 95 Bitcoin that was very big the hacker that stole your Bitcoin are now Enjoying their life with your money. I don't know how'd you get the keylogger but always make sure that if you have lots of Bitcoin 1 Bitcoin or above make sure that your PC/Mobile Phone or any devices you are using for your coins are CLEAN, FRESHLY FORMAT and NO SOFTWARE DOWNLOADED besides the Bitcoin wallet that you have. That's what i've been doing i have an DELL Laptop i don't have downloaded programs on that only the Bitcoin Wallet.

If the story is true, you should contact law enforcement. They could do forensics and issue supoenas to ISP's etc. A lawyer would be a good idea too.

I think the best place of evidence you could find is the actual network blockchain transaction for your 95 Bitcoins. If you could somehow track that then you may be able to trace the movement of your BTC.

It definitely sucks to have lost your Bitcoins, but that is part of the security within Bitcoin. It would be tough to secure Bitcoins if they were easy to store and access. That is part of the magic of Bitcoin and the blockchain, and also the vulnerability of it.

My only suggestion would be to store your Bitcoins in a more secure wallet such as either a cold wallet or a super secure cloud/cold wallet combination like one that Regal Assets offers. Wish you the best of luck in your Bitcoin journey bro.

Damn, that's a lot.
So sorry for your losses. You left it just for a moment and it's all gone in an instant.
I really hope you could find a way out, man. And it won't happen again to any of us.
Don't let our guard down, even for a little bit, especially if we have a lot of money (btc).

Is there any reason that you may have been targeted specifically? Did you tell anyone about the balance you were holding?

Well, simply having 95 bitcoins makes you a target. Many hackers identify specific targets and monitor them for weeks. < trying to find a weakness or a way they could exploit the owner of those coins> The opportunity presented it self, when OP left his wallet open. The hacker did not even have to have his login credentials, because he was signed in and he left his computer unattended.

The hacker used some remote software to transfer the bitcoins to his address and it was gone.

I never keep such large amounts of coins in a wallet for this same reason. I have loads of paper wallets with small amounts. When I need coins, I just sweep a paper wallet. Advice to OP --->< remember to keep it, because you might have some Bitcoin Cash >

What the hell? Is there any particular reason you think you got keylogged? How would a keylogger infiltrate your system in the first place? Where exactly did you leave your computer running? I feel for you man. I don't know your financial status, but losing that much money would hurt no matter what. For what it's worth, I don't think keeping that much Bitcoins in your daily computer is moronic -- it's just harder to secure. I hope you receive closure of some sort.

Hi I am sorry  for your loss, I can understand your fellings now but first don't panic...
You have left your laptop open ... in a public place? anyone physical could access to your electrum wallet?
Did you run any antivirus scan in your system to check in you have actually a keylogger installed in your pc? Have you tried to setup a 2FA with your phone? the only critic or flawless point is not use a cold wallet.
When I have stored a private key with a secure system I have also add a password just to secure anymore the priv. key.

As I've said before, hopefully this will serve as a lesson for readers to be mindful of computer security and take preventive measures. This post will definitely help steer people to be more cautious. There is a tendency to underestimate the capabilities of hackers.

I agree with you. Sometimes people tend to neglect to take preventive measures which make them an easy target by the hackers. I hope that other people will not experience this circumstance before taking time to secure their coins. It's painful that we have to be a victim first before taking precautions that will totally cause devastation to us. No matter how little or huge the amount of our coins the first thing we should keep in mind is security so that in the end we will not regret anything. We worked hard to earn those coins so we shoukd also work hard to keep them safe.

This is a great lose and I really sympathize with you. 95bitcoin is a very huge amount of money especially if you are from the Third World countries. However we should try to do everything to secure our coin as this is more important to us than make or holding bitcoin. I find out that bitcoin is one of the most valuable assets we can hold now and since is valuable we must do everything to safeguard it.
