Should you sell altcoins before the fork?

i think sell now, buy btc and hold bitcoin or you can buy some alt who more profitable after or when hardfork happen.. its better than you hold shitcoin for hardfork

Everybody surely have their own ways of trading. I would not advise anyone to sell for loss now anyway, since there is a possibility of some of these coins being pumped before the first hardfork which some of them are already showing sign of that anyway. Personally, I used the opportunity at this stage to but some reasonable altcoins for more profit after the fork or even before the fork as the case may be.

I think that you should sell all your altcoins before the fork simply because you can expect a massive increase in price of Bitcoin after the fork and when prices of BTC goes up, there is a blood bath in altcoin market. You can expect huge amounts of losses if you are willing to invest in altcoins and the prices of altcoins will surely fall.
You can easily expect a price of 6000$ for Bitcoin after the fork so play smart, and dump your altcoins.

I don't agree with you. Now there will be capital outflow in the direction of bitcoin do. This is due to the large expected growth of bitcoin prices. This should reduce the price of altcoins. But after the growth of bitcoin prices will stay the capital back to altcoins. This will provoke sharp jump of the prices. You only need to guess which coins will rise in price.

It is too late to sell them right now. They dropped so much already compared to btc, that there might be a high likelyhood that they will rebounce soon enough

But a good alt can rise again and again, and will live for so long. Bad alts die soon.

I dont think thats its a good time to drop your altcoins. They already have seen a lot of downtrend and I think they will recover sooner or later. If you got the money to wait and rebuy, just do it!

When the bitcoin fork happened, I sold my bitcoins and other coins because I thought it would disappear in my wallet. I was scared to lose so I was panic selling those times but I learned not to do it again. We can transfer our coins into another wallet which we hold our private key to be excluded from the fork. Or buy another coin then sell it back to your previous coins. Fork is always happening in crypto world.

The price is actually unpredictable after fork we do not know what will happen. But if you looking bitcoin first before hardfork many people are selling their coin because they do not want to lost his money. In this case Selling before hardfork is probably a safe step.

With the hardfork coming and the btc value, as of the moment, is soaring high, selling or holding on to altcoins have always been one of the greatest dillema ever. But as for me, i do have faith with the coins i have and i do believe that these coins can recover and so i'll hold on to them. though everything will be uncertain and no one could ever say when these coins can recover, but i guess it is best to hold on to them.

I would suggest looking at three concepts before selling. Is the current fork going to increase demand but lower supply? Is supply high but demand low? Will this fork fix supply versus demand.

Its speculation really. Id say its going up if demand becomes higher than supply. Statistical analysis

I think there's no reason to hold shitcoins. The sooner you sell it the better
but if you have a project that you trust, it would be better to sell it after 25 October
