Project Wyvern

Autonomously governed decentralized digital asset exchange.

Wyvern is no longer mined, any mined coins on the original blockchain after block 315000 will not convert into ERC20 tokens and have no value.

(development has changed hands; a new thread was started to avoid confusion)

This thread is not self-moderated, but please refrain from price speculation - this thread is for project development, design discussion, user questions, and future updates. If you want to speculate, these forums have a section for that.

Wyvern
The Cryptocurrency for Gamers

Wyvern is the cryptocurrency for gamers.

Like Bitcoin, Wyvern is a globally distributed ledger enabling permissionless, pseudonymous, instant transactions between people or programs anywhere in the world with an internet connection.

Unlike Bitcoin, Wyvern is secured by everyday users mining Wyvern’s NIST5 algorithm using their GPUs, not centralized mining companies with proprietary ASIC technology.

You can use Wyvern to pay peers for goods or services, buy and sell virtual merchandise on the Wyvern Exchange (upcoming), and more.

This thread is not self-moderated, but please refrain from price speculation - this thread is for project development, design discussion, user questions, and future updates. If you want to speculate, these forums have a section for that.

Try again; Github Pages took awhile to rebuild.

New development team - perhaps the ANN was confusing; took it out of the topic, thanks.

Hey cryptohub is your GUI miner an optimized compile?  Or is it a GUI which combines already pre-compiled miners?

Nope, the dev just want to make Wyvern to live again and stay with us with their new team. Wyvern is already on another thread before https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1845270.0 So, what's your plan for Wyvern future dev?

GUI which combines already pre-compiled miners - exactly!
It uses ccminer-alexis - most efficient at nist5 algo

I'm unrelated to (I don't even know) the original developer - he decided to no longer pursue the project, so I took it over for fun. The new thread is just to provide clarity, as the old one was started by the former dev. You can invest in whatever you want; I'm definitely not trying to provide investment advice.

Roadmap-wise, check out Development Plans on the website.

I'm working on modernization now; the Wyvern Exchange will come along in parallel. Privacy technology is on a longer timeline; need to do some more research.

We're working on a new binary at the moment (and CI to build it automatically in the future); will update once we have it.

This coin was launched awhile ago. There wasnot/never will be an airdrop for it. It is a completely fair distribution.

Yup - Wyvern has no premine, developer subsidy, or anything of that sort. If you'd like to acquire Wyvern, mine or buy it.

In the mean time, I am organizing a wyvern pubg tournament.  I will be sponsoring up to 100% of the players, but if you guys want to sponsor any I'll back off of some of my sponsorships. We are set up through toornament and via our website. Going to start gathering players, have less than 2 weeks to fill 100 slots. Should do wonders for publicity. The website is: https://bitcoinrapid.wixsite.com/wyverntourney  Any help with getting the word out on this would be appreciated. This is designed to have a low barrier to entry, only 5 wyv. Players that cannot pay themselves but still want to play will have to be sponsored, and are entitled to 25% of the winners (sponsors get the other 75%). If you want to play, just PM me, I'll likely sponsor you.

Is there going to be any word on a roadmap or anything of the sort? Future info is feeling a little dry right now.

Presently ColonelClink and I are working on mockups for the Wyvern Exchange - we'll publish those for feedback after they've reached a reasonable stage of completion - and after a round of feedback we'll launch the Exchange in beta.

That's the first priority - long-term development roadmap can be found at https://www.projectwyvern.com/general/development-plans/.

I'm more than happy to answer any specific questions if you have them.

Official minor announcement - Marketing and Advertising/Promotion at Project Wyvern

Hello, me - Wojciech Buczkowski known as wojteks102 or CryptoWiesiek in cryptocurrency-space, few days ago joined Project Wyvern team. I'm responsible for Marketing and Advertising/Promotion in this project. I'm in crypto-space since Dec of 2013. Currently working as Polish Ambassador for the Signals Project, participant of many bounty campaigns, active guy in POSToken community. First of all if you want to help in any case Project Wyvern contact anybody from Wyvern team: Colonel_Clink, protinam or me: wojteks102. Secondary you have to know that this is a volunteer project - we don't have any funds as a Poject Wyvern.

New one and only official Project Wyvern fanpage: Facebook fanpage

First small thing was done already - on coinmarketcap ANN thread was changed to that new one. Obviously I'm going to be active here in this thread and post updates of what is going on with the project or with my work. If you want to change your avatar into wyvern logo, I would appreciate it a lot: WYV LOGO

What are the plans?
Standard work is managing all possible social media. Obviously all social media channels is going to be supported from my private ones. ANN threads on other boards (English language), ANN threads on local boards (Polish language). Try to get WYV into some bigger exchange. This is what can I tell at the moment.

Small buy-back program
Once or twice per month there will be some buy offers placed by my person on the biggest volume exchange on WYV/BTC pair. When orders is going to be placed? That information is secret and when order will be processed there may be a possibility you will be informed. How big is the amount? Amount depends on my monthly earnings from cryptocurrency activity but I have to remind that Wyvern is a volunteer project so please don't expect big amounts!

Wyvern is now ranked 827. on coinmarketcap with Market Cap about 38k$ ,date: 28.10.2017. Let's go!

There is no ICO for this project  - if you'd like to acquire some Wyvern, you can mine it with your GPU or purchase it on an exchange.

Where can I buy tokens?

There is no ICO, we're not asking you for money!

If you'd like to get some Wyvern, you can purchase it at an exchange - check out the list of service providers - or mine it on your computer.

Where can I find ur wp?

If by "this" you're referring to the Wyvern Exchange - yes, and we intend to make it relatively easy to use for those without prior cryptocurrency experience (eventually, probably not with the first prototypes).

We'll be gradually moving primary communication from Slack to Riot.im, as the latter is more secure and spambot-proof. Find Project Wyvern on Riot at https://riot.im/app/#/room/#projectwyvern:matrix.org. A relay bot has been set up for now, but Slack will be removed eventually.

Hi guys,

Is Nist5 algorithm AMD-friendly? I have some AMD graphic cards and want to mine the Wyvern coin.

I don't know of any NIST5 AMD miners, but that may be more due to the rarity of the algorithm than a hardware capability imbalance. There's not much time left to mine Wyvern anyways though - once we port to an ERC20 token mining will no longer be necessary.

Relatedly, over 50% of tokenholders are now voting in favor of the ERC20 port - https://vote.projectwyvern.com/ - meaning it passes! More updates to come tomorrow.

Hi,

What did you mean? We, investors, miners, can only buy the coins, which might become an ERC20 token in the near future. If the vote becomes true, it will be the token, not a mineable coin anymore.

We're moving the Wyvern ledger to an ERC20 token - the Medium post gives an overview of why.

Once Wyvern is an ERC20 token, there's no need for mining - mining is necessary to incentivize network security, and as an ERC20 token Wyvern's network security will be provided by Ethereum (so it'll be much more secure than it is at the moment).

If you have Wyvern coins now, those coins will be convertable into WYV ERC20 tokens proportionally - so if you have 10 WYV now, you'll have 10 WYV tokens when we switch ledgers (or possibly 100, there might be a multiplier, but the rate will be proportional).

Does that make sense?

Once Wyvern is an ERC20 token, there's no need for mining - mining is necessary to incentivize network security, and as an ERC20 token Wyvern's network security will be provided by Ethereum (so it'll be much more secure than it is at the moment).

If you have Wyvern coins now, those coins will be convertable into WYV ERC20 tokens proportionally - so if you have 10 WYV now, you'll have 10 WYV tokens when we switch ledgers (or possibly 100, there might be a multiplier, but the rate will be proportional).

Does that make sense?

Yes thank you!

The after the convert finished, those tokens will be traded on exchanges designed for ERC20 tokens, like Ether Delta?

Yes - after the conversion is finished, Wyvern will be a standard ERC20 token, usable in all the ways standard ERC20 tokens can be used (e.g. Etherdelta).

Yep - keep WYV in your wallet and you'll be all set. No set date yet - we want to contract out a smart contract security audit first, we're in the process of finding an auditor. Probably in a few weeks (exchange development continues in parallel).

How much time you need on maturing of a coin in a purse?
Have passed 1 days, and still I don't participate in a share. Writes that there are no ripened coins.

Are not you afraid that when you move to the ERC20 token, any interest will be lost to your coin? And you will sit on a bag of money and you will not be able to sell them.

I even don't know what cheep/free exchange supports ERC20 token. I'm afraid coinexchange will delist WYV and will not add new coin-token for free.

I think you have got too many bad feelings about the WYV ERC20 token. Do you know etherdelta exchange?

Moving to an ERC20 token will allow us to run the Wyvern Exchange - which we expect in the long run to provide utility and drive far more interest.

No - he realized he didn't have the ability to pursue the project and refunded contributors. I took it over - for free - as I think the concept has promise as a decentralized application.

Is there any information as to what will happen with current Wyvern coins? Will there be a swap, and if so, at what ratio? Thanks!

Nevermind, I found the information.... I think I had a brain freeze reading through the last page or so of posts the first time. :p

No worries; let me know if anything is unclear. We're currently working with auditors to make sure the token port process is secure; it will likely take place in a week or two.

protinam Why do you want to bury Wyvern? You just recently brought him back to life. Ambition? After the swap, coins die. I do not know of one successful example when the coins acquired a second life.
In such cases, this project will die a second time. Soon you will see how the exchange reacts. While there is interest of miners, she is alive. What will you do on the ERC20 exchange? There and so full of tokens. There will be one more dead token.

Wyvern is being ported to an ERC20 token so that we can realize (we hope) the potential of the Wyvern Exchange, which we think might work well as a DApp.

I'm sure the token markets will thin out over time; we should focus on providing a real use case with unique utility.

The ERC20 port will take place in a week or two; we've contracted auditors to vet the Solidity code (https://github.com/projectwyvern/wyvern-ethereum) and make sure it's bug-free. After that, you'll be able to trade WYV on Etherdelta and whichever other ERC20 exchanges decide to support it.

The existing Wyvern blockchain will stop when we port the ledger balances to an ERC20 token and no longer be supported by the development team - so if you hold Wyvern now, you'll receive tokens proportional to the amount that you hold. Of course, I can't stop anyone from continuing to mine the existing chain if they wish, but we're focusing our efforts on the Wyvern Exchange.

What auction are you referring to?

They won't have to. The Wyvern Exchange will support payment in any token (chosen by the seller); a small fee will be paid back to the Wyvern DAO (controlled by Wyvern tokenholders), to be reinvested back into protocol development or paid out as dividends; whatever the DAO elects to do.

Fees in WYV may be introduced for certain actions on the exchange (e.g. bidding on an item) to prevent spam, but that can be easily abstracted away from the end user with something like 0x Connect.

A snapshot will be taken of the blockchain state in order to port Wyvern to an ERC20 token. Old Wyvern will not be supported by the current development team, and I don't know of anyone intending to support it. I'll probably ask Coinexchange to halt trading so that people don't get confused.

Before closing the trade on Coinexchange, you must warn everyone who extracts this coin. How will you do this? Not everyone reads this topic.
There are many coins that exist side by side after the so-called Swap.
I finally understood what you wanted. You want to create your own coin. And for simplicity, you decided to use a well-known brand. Alas, you are not the first. Not all have achieved success. Some coins turned into candy wrappers.

Yup, I'd suggest anyone holding WYV on Coinexchange withdraw it - we'll let you know in advance of the hard deadline for the balance snapshot, but if you want to withdraw now and forget about it you'll be set for the token port.

Alright, will do that. However, someone from the team should get in touch with Coinexchange and organize a coin swap. It is really bad for PR to do a coinswap without an official solution on the exchange. Yeah, I know it's trader ignorance that'll catch out some people, but nevertheless, it's bad news.

As for Steemit, well, it's social network on a blockchain, so to keep up the blockchain theme Smiley I know there are lots of crypto traders and enthusiasts on Steem, so seems like a good place to run an official blog.

I'm not on your team so you listen to my advice. But I can throw a good idea.
For a swap at Coinexchange you will have to pay 1 BTC. For a new exchange, you also have to pay something. It's easier to leave old Wyvern as is, hold a manual swap and call a token, say Wyvern Game, Gold. Miners will continue to mine, and you will start the game from a new page.

By the way, then you can compare which project is more successful.

This isn't like a coinswap; present Wyvern UTXOs will be directly redeemable for ERC20 tokens on the Ethereum chain; the smart contract handles the verification logic (https://github.com/ProjectWyvern/wyvern-ethereum/blob/master/contracts/token/UTXORedeemableToken.sol).

I'll get in touch with Coinexchange when we set a hard date for the token port.

I think it should better to just leave it. It works well and is a good and stable coins with bides and miners. It has survived and will survive. Instead if making it a token they should focus on using it for what it was meant for and that is gaming. Making it a token changes nothing. How will you mine a token even? I like it as possible and it's profitable to mine someone's better then Eth. One of the fee good nist5 coins making it a token will kill it.

And in case you don't have a chance to read the update: the token port snapshot will happen at block 315000 (in about a week and a half). That means you need to withdraw your Wyvern from any exchanges prior to block 315000.

Follow the countdown at port.projectwyvern.com.

I did not understand:
1. Will the swap be held without the support of Coinexchange?
2. What will happen to Wyvern who will remain at Coinexchange?
3. How do you intend to warn miners?
You never answered these questions directly when I asked.

1. I do not know yet. I have contacted CoinExchange but have yet to receive a reply. I'll let you know when I do.
2. That depends on the answer to #1. In either case I suggest anyone holding WYV on CoinExchange withdraw it to a personal wallet prior to the snapshot.
3. By posting across social media and noting a warning on the explorer - https://chainz.cryptoid.info/wyv/ - open to any additional suggestions you have.

Does that answer your questions?

Sounds good! I'll be ready for the fork soon.

Hope Coinexchange plays ball, and also, the mining pools.

The best social network is the red inscription on CoinExchange. Where will it be written: Delisting, withdraw your coins before ...
Then no claims to you will not. Otherwise, you will be accused of cheating. There will be a snapshot of the wallet, and on the exchange will remain 122511.23123934 WYV. This is 7% of all coins plus those people who do not want a swap and are ready to sell them. What do you tell people?
You have very little time left. Hurry up.

It was necessary first to obtain the consent of CoinExchange, and then declare the block 315 000. You did the opposite. This is money, there is no need for haste here.
Approximately on January 7 there will be a snapshot of the wallet. Do you think CoinExchange will do something during the holidays?
Bad start. There will be many questions.

Wyvern Exchange whitepaper updated with latest protocol plans - https://github.com/ProjectWyvern/wyvern-protocol/blob/master/build/whitepaper.pdf (see section 4.3).

About 6000 blocks left until the ERC20 token port - track the countdown at port.projectwyvern.com. Make sure to move your Wyvern to a wallet you control before block 315000!

Looking good! I can't pretend to understand the contract code, but generally I'm excited for the Exchange. Moving WYV to a wallet shortly, but I do hope Coinexchange does the swap. It'll be bad news if they don't, hope you have a plan B for it.

WYV ERC20 tokens won't disappear in any case, there's no deadline - if CoinExchange doesn't swap immediately, they can always do it later, but their accounting will be simpler if they do it right away.

Same here. But I don't think anyone with a substantial holding would want to sell at a bargain basement price, though, now with development moving forward nicely. Obviously, that's evident from the low volume available for sale.

Yup, all set for the fork - if anyone has any ideas for how to get in touch with Coinexchange, let me know; I've reached out on Twitter and with multiple support inquiries to no avail. Are there any other channels? Their support@ email just autoresponds with a link to to the support portal (which I've already submitted a ticket to).

I think the pools may have shut down; the mining revenue wouldn't have been significant. You can easily mine solo if you like: https://github.com/projectwyvern/wyvern-solo-pool.

After block 315000, you'll be able to redeem UTXOs in your wallet for WYV ERC20 tokens at redeem.projectwyvern.com (currently deployed on Ethereum's Rinkeby testnet). Once an ERC20 token, Wyvern will be tradeable on any exchange or service which supports the ERC20 interface.

About 1500 blocks left until the ERC20 port: https://port.projectwyvern.com.

If you hold a lot of small UTXOs (e.g. mining outputs), you should consolidate them into one prior to block 315000 (send all your Wyvern to yourself); it will make the token redemption procedure faster and cheaper.

If your Wyvern is already in a wallet to which you hold the private keys, you're fine and you don't need to do anything, there is no deadline for redeeming the tokens after block 315000.

Yup - block 315000! The final Wyvern blockchain balance snapshot has been taken. The Wyvern Token and Wyvern DAO contracts will be deployed within 24 hours after we run a final set of tests.

Watch for a Medium post from the official account - https://medium.com/project-wyvern - once contracts are deployed, with all relevant information.

Given the resurgence in classic chains lately, I think you should rename the old one Wyvern Classic and release it to the community.  Let them do with it as they see fit.

I don't think Wyvern developers will do that. Their focus is purely on the ERC20 Wyvern token and building the Wyvern Exchange around it. But like protinam said, other developers and miners can take over the old chain and call it Wyvern Classic or whatever.

What a PITA.  You couldn't have warned us ahead of time to consolidate all the UTXO's into just one single address? Roll Eyes

There's also a bug with the website and/or Metamask.  If the first send attempt fails because the gwei is too low, the second attempt will just send at the default gwei which is currently almost $30!  So be sure to reject that ASAP.  Better yet, use an account with an insufficient balance so that it won't go through.

We did, e.g. https://twitter.com/WyvernExchange/status/949347294943563779, but perhaps it wasn't clear enough, sorry about that. If you have many small UTXOs, we'd advise waiting until the Ethereum network clears - at the moment, there are 25000 pending transactions (https://etherscan.io/txsPending); once the backlog decreases gas prices should return to normal.

Metamask's replacement algorithm is entirely in the Chrome extension, so I don't think we can change that behavior, but we can add a note on the website if that would help. It's also possible to copy the transaction data from the textbox and send it from another Ethereum wallet, such as MyEtherWallet.

I've found an amount of WYV mined at May 2017  Cool. Old WYV Wallet works perfectly to dump privkeys and the redeem process is enough transparent, so I received new WYV tokens in 15 minutes. Great work, Devteam! Waiting further events  Smiley

I'm not quite sure what your question is - you can claim WYV tokens at redeem.projectwyvern.com if you held Wyvern at block 315000 on the original blockchain.

The first Wyvern DAO proposal has been submitted - https://dao.projectwyvern.com/proposals/0!

protinam where can we buy WYV? There is no volume on Ethdelta and the only ask is asking 10x from the previous price.

The price is set by a market, not by me. You could ask around and find people who will sell to you OTC - it's easy with ERC20 tokens to do so safely with tools like 0x OTC.

CoinExchange has expressed their intention to support the ERC20 token but the Ethereum network congestion may delay their timeline.

Make sure you have selected Mainnet [Infura], or Metamask, from the right network configuration sidebar. You're probably still on the Rinkeby testnet.

It's discontinued as per the Project Wyvern developers. However, it's up to the community. There's nothing stopping other developers from continuing with the old chain.

Finally, redeemed my WYV tokens, the whole process is easy and maybe not fast but not slow too.
Some people saying that moving to ETH chain is not a good option, imo that is going to push the project even higher than it is now.

The main problem of ETH chain now is transaction cost. Now for enough fast transaction (in 2-10 minutes) about 5-8 bucks have to paid. But Ethereum network is very strong on the other side so for the Wyvern it's good step

While you can access WYV on CMC by a direct link, it seems it has effectively been delisted.

It no longer appears if you try to search for it in the searchbar.

Since WYV hasn't been traded since days, it's value is not defined.

If someone wants to get out, I am willing to buy some WYV for some ETH because I like risk. Pm me.

You still can search on cmc by typing "wyvern" and click the search button. It's the only market as inactive due to no trading volume.

Indeed. I didn't see it pop up when typing WYV, but typing wyvern and searching actually works.

Those 140K WYV were minted to the Wyvern DAO, which will allocate them according to how tokenholders best think would further the interests of the Wyvern protocol.

Did you enter your Wyvern private key and the Ethereum address you sent the transaction from in the webpage? I'd double-check those values, and you can simulate the transaction before you send it to make sure it will work.

If sellers are not willing to sell for less than "5x more than currently valued", then that's the current value. That's how markets work.

Do not forget - it's only 2 mil WYV. So it could be even 50-100 USD per WYV easely. So your deal is enough profitable. Now it's not the best time to sell WYV. Just HODL  Cool

Hi all - I don't check Bitcointalk often, if you want to stay up to date on this project please join Discord or follow the weekly update series on Medium.

CoinExchange expressed their intent (in private communication) to support the WYV ERC20 token, but they have not ported user balances and reopened the market yet. I've offered whatever technical support they need; they may simply be delayed by other non-Wyvern related platform issues (their Twitter mentions some DNS snafu). The exact timeline is up to them, not me - if you want more information, contact them and ask.

The old Wyvern blockchain will not be supported by the Wyvern development team, and I do not know of anyone else who plans to support it - so please do not mine past block 315000, those coins are likely worthless.

Wyvern was ported to an ERC20 token at block 315000 - all coins mined before that block can be redeemed for ERC20 WYV tokens at https://redeem.projectwyvern.com. The Wyvern development team does not intend to do anything with the original blockchain past block 315000 (it will not work with the Wyvern Exchange), so I do not expect coins mined past block 315000 to have any value.

Blockchains are decentralized; they live on without the devs.  The devs are not providing anymore support for Wyvern [Classic].  You can still mine and stake it.  But for any future development, it'll require finding a new dev and community to fork it.

The problem is if I mine the classic WYV I can't trade it there is no market and why would anyone want to buy it?
I'm going to have to find a new gpu coin. I found veritimium or verium (forgot the exact name) it seems profitable but not as much as WYV was. Sad

Yes, but as they said, perhaps some other developer may choose to revive it. Maybe there's demand for a GPU mining coin.

I have 90 wyv coins on coinexchange.io. What can I do with them?

You'll need to contact CoinExchange and ask them to help you redeem your balance for ERC20 WYV tokens.

It's easiest to use ForkDelta with Metamask - then you can use the deposit / withdraw buttons on the left sidebar.

Polish Wyvern ANN thread already done: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2904141.0

I'm quiet here but don't worry, I'm still with Wyvern Smiley We probably need to do rebranding request to CMC or request of new token/currency.

Local wallet - do you mean the old chain? Have you redeemed the new WYV ERC20 tokens?

Since it's a 1:1 swap, I think all they need to do is add the ETH-WYV pair on Etherdelta. That said, they do now have a minimum daily volume limit, and I don't think WYV meets that yet. Need to get the Coinexchange market going before CMC will take it seriously.

Only Wyvern mined prior to block 315000 are redeemable for ERC20 tokens - and yes, you can redeem them at https://redeem.projectwyvern.com.

If you're referring to the ERC20 WYV tokens - they'll be used to pay fees on the Wyvern Exchange, and vote on protocol upgrades through the Wyvern DAO!

If you're referring to the Wyvern coins on the old blockchain - I don't know of any application, I'm not going to develop that chain any further (but anyone who wants to certainly can).

This has turn out even better than I expected! Now just waiting for an asset more useful than Cryptokitties to pop up on the Eth blockchain.

Are there any plans to market this? For a change, here's a real product in the blockchain world.

I just want to ask about description of the project: Autonomously governed decentralized digital asset exchange. Is "autonomously governed" not have the same meaning as "decentralized"? What is the difference?

There is quite a difference! The Wyvern Exchange is governed by the Wyvern DAO, which controls a large share of WYV tokens and can upgrade the Exchange smart contracts. This means you - as a protocol shareholder - have a direct say in the future of your protocol, and it (hopefully) will enable Wyvern to incorporate the best new ideas over time.

You can read more on the first protocol upgrade discussion at https://github.com/ProjectWyvern/WDPs/issues/6.

You could also think of it as decentralized governance, though that is, of course, an oxymoron. You'll see more and more blockchains moving to this broad model, a layer on top of a decentralized blockchain. Bitcoin is planning to do it with Lightning, Ethereum with Raiden, EOS is pretty much that, etc.

Very interested by the possibility of adding other blockchains to the exchange. The obvious candidate right now would be the most active blockchain in the world right now - Steem. Might be a perfect fit as it's a social platform, currently with I hear they have an ERC20 competitor in the works, too. Currently, 500,000 active users per week, I can imagine an exchange of assets could be very popular once the ERC-like platform hits.

(Edit: They call it SMTs)

Hello. I am trying to swap my olds coins but everytime I load up the wallet I get a runtime error that shuts it down automatically. This means I cannot dump my private keys, which is necessary for the swap.

Anybody can help me with a fix?

I tried to swap to the ERC20 token but it shows that it has no funds or there is no gas. I have metamask logged in and there is some ETH on it but when I submit the form it shows the transaction coming from some address that has no ETH so it will not send. What needs to be done to swap my Wyvern to the ERC20 tokens

Is there any level of interest in the original blockchain? Seems there are still quite a few holders of the original coin. I could get a web wallet up for us and maybe kickstart some development for this coin.

Since it's a token swap, technically everyone is still a holder of the original chain. Feel free to kickstart something, though I'd suggest better get involved with the development of the new Wyvern Protocol.

Look forward to the livestream, whenever that's up!

Is the dev on summer vacations? Or Wyvern project is totally dead? No trading activity at ForkDelta since March'18 (!!!) But BUY offers are not empty at all. Does somebody hold or trade WYV?

BTC   Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System   BTC
A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution. Digital signatures provide part of the solution, but the main benefits are lost if a trusted third party is still required to prevent double-spending. We propose a solution to the double-spending problem using a peer-to-peer network. The network timestamps transactions by hashing them into an ongoing chain of hash-based proof-of-work, forming a record that cannot be changed without redoing the proof-of-work. The longest chain not only serves as proof of the sequence of events witnessed, but proof that it came from the largest pool of CPU power. As long as a majority of CPU power is controlled by nodes that are not cooperating to attack the network, they'll generate the longest chain and outpace attackers. The network itself requires minimal structure. Messages are broadcast on a best effort basis, and nodes can leave and rejoin the network at will, accepting the longest proof-of-work chain as proof of what happened while they were gone.

You can follow on Medium, Discord or Twitter. Not much major activity since the OpenSea integration, but the devs are active and around on Discord. I hold WYV btw, as do many others. It's not unusual for low-cap coins to not have trades for a long time, and then there are bursts of activity as the crypto markets kick into gear.

Thanks for info. I checked Discord channel of WYV project. But unfortunatelly it's not acitve enough at the moment. No plans of further development. Seems WYV became another useless token in my ETH wallet

Yes, of course, OpenSea has been doing very well using Wyvern protocol. The project was always active, it's just that unlike other projects this one actually does development instead of endless hype... Though tbf it can do with some marketing and PR too.
