time to prove the reason why WE NEED A HARD FORK. This happened last night. IFC was pumped last night, it went from a low of 65 to a high of 113. This in turn had the auto switch pools attack IFC with over 2 gig hash of mining power. This drove the diff of IFC to 5.116. Once the price dropped and the flash miners had left, We are now at 80 Mhash of mining power and pools are taking hours to find blocks. ifc.scryptmining.com is sitting at a WHOPPPING 500 khash of mining power, and hasn't found a block in 5 hours. So 80mhash @ 5.116 Diff, anyone care to figure how long it will take for the diff to change? sure as hell wont be 1 hour like fisheater predicted. And now IFC sits 2 positions above bitcoin on coinchoose, at a disgusting profit margin that not even the most rookie miners want to touch. Look at ADT, its constantly at the top of coinchoose and rarely goes below LTC in terms of mining profit, ensuring hashing power stays with ADT and strengthening the network. Anyone who voted that we keep the 120 block retarget, please tell us why that is such a good idea? If you cant make a solid argument then it is clear that you just want to see the coin fail. I would like a hard fork to fix the diff issue and I believe that anyone who is invested with IFC feels the same way. Thank You for your time.

I rendered some new logos for IFC, keeping the old style but getting rid of the cheesy looking pixel art over vector art. I hope you guys like them. Please no hot linking. AI vector file: http://tecshare.com/ifclogo1.ailooks great!

Thank You for your time. ok I will look in details into it and will probably prepare some code changes to shorten the retarget cycle. The only problem is that since it is a hard fork, most people will need to upgrade in order to make it successful.

OK I went over again all the recent posts, and I think the community is inclined to have a hard fork to fix this issue. I will do it. And expect the new version will be released in a day or so. Please make sure that you guys do upgrade, as the hard fork will only succeed if > 50% people upgraded (the more the better).
Thanks for reporting the issue and I will provide the fix to it.

OK I have the code ready for switching to diff retarget at each block. I will put the switch block at 251000 which is about 3 days away (currently we are at block 242389). Let me know if the lead time is enough for the switch.
If no opposition, I will release V1.5 which will be the mandatory upgrade for IFC.

LMAO the halving is weeks behind schedule. WAKE UP. You'd better put a lid on that can of paint. Else it will dry up. In other words.. stop white-washing this bull's shit. People can see how you tried to mislead us with your coinchoose screenshot.

I was wondering why you hate so much this coin, as if I remember correctly, you used to be a supporter of IFC. Now I get the answer, by looking at your recent posts, you become a supporter of that shameless coin that try to steal the name of IFC (something V2 right?). So now your interest is to do sabotage here. Please go away. You don't like IFC, then don't worry about it. It's very simple. No need to join some other haters and post garbages here. Everyone knows hard fork is a serious thing, that we need time so everyone can upgrade, and so the fork will be successful.

OK if you think 3 days too long, I can reduce to 2 days. The shorter the lead time, the bigger risk we will run into. I understand the urgency of the issue, that's why I work on it immediately.
I don't think the lead time can go below 2 days. If people prefer, I can put switch at block 248000.
Let me know. I will post new client in an hour.

A fork requires time to be implemented.... If no one knows it is happening it will fail. Enough with the dramatization.

A fork requires time to be implemented.... If no one knows it is happening it will fail. Enough with the dramatization. We'll see how dramatic things get when the projected deadline is missed. Currently the network is at 26 mhash with a very tall 5.166 diff to deal with.. again. No drama .. only frustration and disappointment at how these moles are insulting my intelligence with these ongoing shenannigans. Has anyone else noticed how some/many of these guys have similarly bad english ? If you agree or disagree .. and need to contact me.. my forum is.. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php
