ICO is a good and proper way of investing because altcoins or bitcoin are now high in price so follow all ICO investments to get good results

I think ICO is the most beneficial way to invest into any task as you get certain tokens as rewards yet it's as yet the most unsafe approach to contribute as a large portion of the ICOs out there are tricks and nothing more. that may also depend on the project for the ICO how they will tackle and handle it. for me you make you own reseach for you to make the money return to you.gather a lot of info and sources and people for the project also track back their previous projects so you can say that it is a good investment or not

don't immediately think about how much profit you have, understand the risks that occur. check and observe the project. see also roadmap, team, adviser, white paper etc.
you need to know, investing in ICO has a big risk. ICO are unregulated, don't have the  protection.

I'd say ICOs are a speculative play, just like crowdfunding campaigns, as most are based on ideas instead of already operating businesses. But a handful of COs have working products, which lowers the risk somewhat. For example PlayKey has been around since 2012.

Yes, i believe if you get a good project and strong idea then ICO's can really take off. There are just so many right now to pick from it gets difficult to decide. Check out propthereum.io it's one I've been looking into a lot recently and have gotten on board with it!

It is good to invest in ICO if it is a very promising project but is a waste of time if it is a SCAM ICO. Scammers are working too much to take advantage for those who wants to get a great income.

They were because they almost guaranteed gains, but now there are more and more ICOs coming out it is hard to pick the good ones.

I don't like ICO's anymore, when the coins hit the exchange the price seems to crash for most and you can grab it for a much cheaper price. I have personally invested in few ICO's and I am in loss now.

I choose to not invest with ICO, even the concept project and price really make me interesting. Bad experience for me because I did it and get me stuck ( hold too long and sometimes loss ). Until now no one knows ICO can be survived, so it's big risk for me. I'll invest with BTC and second coins ( ETH, XMR, Ripple ) and leave ICO coins far away. Maybe you not agree with me but ICO more like gambling. Good luck to you.

if you choose a good project with highly active in development,
its can be a good investments, but if you choose some project with no a new tech and the development is quite i think you will lose your money on it
just do a deep research before investing in ICO project

fully agreed. not all of them are profitable. But if project is successful you can get profit. Although invest only money that you can afford to loose.

You must be very careful when you plan to invest in ICOs.
As you must have already read from many replies, 90% + ICOs are nothing but SCAM, this is what most of us have learned the hard way, however, real potential ICOs are also the most prominent investment.
Before taking any ICO into consideration for investment, you must go through the whitepaper to understand what is the project and what they want to achieve. Secondly, if there is even a slight/small grammatical or any other mistake in the whitepaper, turn it down straight away. Good ICOs are very careful about their whitepaper and never do mistakes.

Now, the second step is to check the team of project, the CEO,CTO, etc. are they known names and are they expert in the blockchain industry.
Make sure you check the advisory teams as well.

Next, check who/which companies are backing them up, what if the ICO investment gets hacked (like in the case of coindash, are they backed up to return your money or not).

Always Do a lot of research before investing in ICOs and all the best for your future investments.

There are good ICOs out there in the market. But a big portion can also be scams, practice some due diligence on your part such as checking out their founders team, read through their white papers and most importantly invest the right ratio amount to your pocket!
