As long as it's a real business and you can participate on a growth story you wouldn't have access to otherwise!!

Now a days a lot of ICO are flodded. All the ICO are not good for investment. Only few one are good for investment.  You have to study project report, white paper, roadmap before investment in ICO.

its depends, many ICO is successful to reach the goal and get a profit from that.
thas right, its better to read whitepaper, roadmap before invesment in ICO.

fully agreed. not all of them are profitable. But if project is successful you can get profit. Although invest only money that you can afford to loose.

I am not in the favour of investing money in ICOs because mos of the ICOs failed to achieve their cap so when token is listed on an exchange the price is low as compared to ICO price and investor have to wait 3 4 months for price to increase otherwise he will face a loss.

Carefully study all the information about a particular ICO, read the white paper, the road map, look at the team. You can find a really interesting and promising project. There is always a risk, 9 out of 10 ICO - scam.

It is but just as with any other investment venture, you need to find the "right" ICO to invest in. There simply those who wont turn in any profit to you.

Yes, all true, if you invest in everything. that there are markets, you can very soon be without money, but there is such a time that even investing in a good at first glance project, the risks are large enough, so everything should be approached with a cool head

There are few and the rest are scams. I really support governments who want to regulate ICO so these scammers will step back in making many of them that destroys the image of crpyto and ICOs. It's like half of people's money goes to them.

Hello, Friends...

I Recently listen about the ICO (Initial Coin Offerings)! But I'm confused, Is it a Right Investment or Not?

Anyone Suggests me!

It it good to invest in ICO because you can gain from.it if it vecomes successful. However, you should be careful because some ICOs are scam. It is not yet a good time for altciins now because most altcoin price is dropping because of bitcoin price increase.

I personally think that ICOs are a good investment for investors who are willing to hold for long term, since the idea that is outlined on their whiterpaper won't be achieved overnight. However, don't just invest in any ICO for the sake of investing since you might end up getting scammed. I think its wise to invest in ICOs that you really believe in and hope that they have the potential of making it in the future. Read and research by yourself before you can actually invest.

It seems that you've ruined your statements by saying those that I put in bold letters. People/investors need to be smart and wise when it comes to investments. Cryptocurrency have became a trend since bitcoin has rised up to the moon. And that's the reason why there's a lot of ICOs nowadays. They've been inspired by the journey of bitcoin, from nothing to something.

Although MOST of these ICOs nowadays are considered SCAMS, there are still FEW PROMISING ICOs that are being made by faithful and dedicated developers. Before joining an ICO, you should check its WHITEPAPER. By just reading the whitepaper, you can get almost all the information you needed about that ICO. Also, it can help you in your decision once you plan to invest to it.

Remember, success can be achieved if you take the risk. Life's like that. Take the risk, and see what happens. But then, just what I've said, you should be smart and wise in making your decisions.

ICO's can be a really good investment. Ofcourse.
I wanted to point out that good research needs to be done and i've been on the look out for something worth while.
I found that trade.io  is a new ICO for the month of November, currently in PRE-ICO and trade.io is aiming to become the leading platform for trading multiple financial assets based on blockchain technology.
The team looks very solid, i've looked at the website and whitepapers too, and im impressed tbh!
This is the thread for those who might be interested..

ICOs are good or not? That's a question which many people have asked. I think it depends on the devs. If they are real developers, you certainly get profit when investing in ICO. If not, you will lose your money by a scam.

If the project is good in terms of idea, team's and advisors' experience and product, and especially if there is a good start bonus, for example, then why not.

ICO can be a very good investment of money.
Beginning to study ICO is necessary with the reading of white paper, the road map and with the study of the team's experience. But it does not guarantee success.
Risk always exists.

Then it's not really a good investment. Sounds more like a gamble. Remember, most ICOs are only in the idea phase and have no product yet.

Research is the key here. Just like any investment knowing the business, the industry and where they are going is vital. Here are a few things i look for in an ICO

- Strong team - Both in development team and also the CEO's / marketing (no point having a great team to create something, if nobody can advertsie it and push the startup in the right direction.
- Realistic vision - not aiming too high or if they do not reach their target everyone who invested will be disappointed
- Solid whitepaper - Well thought out, shows realistic goals, a strong good vision and a plan of action
- Strong social media presence - A social media that shows they are connected with everyone
- Good customer support - Shows they care, and they have invested time and money into making sure the average investor can ask questions
- Good website - A business who is willing to throw time and effort into a good website are less likely to be a scam
- finite supply - ICO's with no cap can be dangerous and can simply just damage their own coin by releasing more for more investment.
-Market they are getting involved with - Is this a new market? or a dying one? who controls the market?

Also here is an interesting article comparing ICO's with a working product vs a vision.

https://medium.com/@crowdholding/mvps-pocs-and-ideas-which-icos-should-i-better-invest-in-and-which-will-let-me-down-369bf1ffae2

Hope this helps and happy investing!

There are many projects build their product and open ICO or develop the product instead of the price of token. Exscudo, MobileGo, Opus, Aventus, Stratis, Ethereum, ... are the projects choose develop way at first.
