ICO is a good option for investing if you are very fond of risk. You can earn a round sum or lose a lot. There is a lot of scam among ICO projects. 

Good option for those who understand the risk and knows how to do their  homework, its all about risking and willingness to handle losing
money in case that the project won't work or dev are scammers. before moving forward know first your capability to understand.

Of course you need to invest only the money that you are ready to lose. Investing the last money is very stupid.

for example recent ico of comsa i can consider a successful one. or if you look at qtum for example, the ico ended in summer, but now its price is 5 times higher. the people who bought it and held are very lucky ones)) and i recommend you to look at United Traders ico, it is finishing very soon. so don't waste your time, it's a very nice and promissing project.

I cannot say that it is really a good investment  in investing in an ICO because there is  always a risk in investing on it. To make sure you do not have any regrets in investing, make sure to make an intensive research (roadmap, product, people behind it) about the ICO you want to invest.
