That's right, there are so many other factors to consider before joining an ICO for profit. Although the it is generally easy to join, and the tasks are not so difficult to comply with, it still needs commitment because you are still investing time and effort. yes of course. as long as you know what is the difference between a good ico and a scam one. Theres an ICO a succeful in their crowdsale but failed to deliver their product.

Yes i see many ICOS success and also the project ( and this is more important than ico in my opinion ) success and make all the investors happy and gain more profit .

Of course, it all depends on the ICO itself and even still, there are a lot of things you need to take into consideration when deciding to invest or not.

What approach do you guys take when researching an ICO? I try to figure out as much as I can about the company, google the employees, whitepaper, etc.

I do not think so.

I've joined ICO and just once, by coincidence, when the ICO finished the price soared to 2500%, I only had time to sell at 800% of the price I bought. I think these months have been pretty much scam ICO, and should be very observant if you choose ICO, I recommend to search youtube channel that show ICO review or who held a LIVE with the ICO team. i just use ICO for instant profit and not for long-term investment.

Some ICO are good investment and some of them are scam, its depends in ICO you joined, its better if you join in LIVE STAR I assure you that it is not scam because I'm one of them in there team, also their propose project are  promising, so you don't feel any doubt or regret to invest them.

i wont say that just because there have been scams and large losses but i say it mostly because when you participate in all the ICOs and give them "free money" it will create more and more scams and best case scenario it will create lazier developers who don't even care about their own project because they don't have anything at stake, they have already gotten their money!

My take on ICO is this: if you are diligent and thoroughly research ICO that may catch your fancy, you will be able to decide for yourself if such ICO worth your time and resources. And whatever the outcome, you will be able to hold your head up high saying you did your best!
