If you're trying to make an innovative coin that's going to survive the onslaught of alts...

Why make a pre-release message with countdown and set it for the same day?

Why not announce a week in advance and get the word out, let people start setting up properties, etc?

We release details for a start in 7 days, and the next day someone releases a similar coin.  In this day and age, 1 weeks notice if not possible.

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT IS WRONG WITH ALL OF THESE ALTCOINS IN THE FIRST PLACE!

If you can't come up with something original enough that you WON'T give advanced notice, you're not adding to the community.

You even said it yourself, you don't care if anyone mines your coin. Then why make it in the fist place? If you spent all this time "doing things by the book" you sure as shit WOULD care if people weren't mining.

But seriously, if your coin is so close to every other coin that someone could steal it in a day, ask yourself what the real problem is with your release.
