Good things will allways have a strong demand. More so after a "drought"

Prices were at 17.50 right before the collapse, we still have a ways to go before I'd call it "up".

What's up with this?
>>Trading working, up to 1 minute delay before order execution.<<
Does that mean Mt Gox is checking every order and manipulates trading? Don't get it.

Yeah really unsure who is buying right now. I can understand selling. I can understand holding. But not buying. Good thing I'm not The Market.

Well, there's obviously more money than it's visible from the standing bids, and, honestly, I think the fact that bitcoins held around $15 after the whole MtGox disaster is a good sign. But, who knows. To tell you the truth, I'd probably buy some more now if I had any cash in any exchange.

Bitcoin Fact: the price of bitcoin will not be greater than $70k for more than 25 consecutive days at any point in the rest of recorded human history.

So much for the end of the world:
Mt.Gox: 16.48 last, 16.41/16.48 bid/offer
Tradehill: 16.299 last, 16.299/16.48 bid/offer
Where are all the "CRASH CRASH CRASH" trolls? Oh, that's right, they are drowning under their bridges because the river his risen so fast. That is what I like about markets, you don't have to do anything but be on the right side.

From a short-term speculative point of view, yes. But those starved of BTC recently who are focused on using them to conduct commerce may have been pleased to get a discount of up to $3.50 on their purchases. Also many buyers may have layered their initial orders with smaller amounts at slightly discounted prices and larger amounts at lower prices, the latter of which may not be reached. It seems the repeatedly delayed, unpredictable, and slow start to trading has avoided (or postponed) a frenzied drop in value that could have rapidly become self-reinforcing for a while.

It's not done yet. Give it time for the rest of the world to wake up, those gone for the weekend to show back up and all these crazy high orders to clear. I'm still looking for lower but I will admit it's help well if the trades are not being screwed with.
