Myetherwallet

Your right mate, just make sure all the altcoins that you want keep and hold in a long term are also listed in MEW, then always keep your private key and password to make it safe very well.

MyEtherWallet ERC20 is a special wallet to accommodate very complete coins of ICO coins, very safe because using a private key, it is not just a password. But for general coins in the crypto world like litecoins or dogecoin I recommend using Poloniex as a wallet. Poloniex is the first exchange with very cheap fee compared to others.
I agree that MyEtherWallet ERC20 is a special wallet to accommodate very complete coins of ICO coins.
Having a lot of ERC 20 tokens suffered a sharp crash at the same time. Given diversified investment, ERC 20 series tokens can not be increased by the investment ratio.

What wallets should i use for altcoins? Bought some LTC not sure what's better

The best wallet that I recommend to you was myetherwallet, you can keep a lot of altcoin in this wallet and hold it in a long term as long as you you save your private key and password.

Someone has LTC and you are recommending MyEtherWallet? I will be damned. Apparently, you have no single idea what you are talking about and you have no idea what LTC even is. You can only keep ERC20 tokens in myetherwallet, please stop embarassing yourself and I am so surprised a lot of people mentioning MEW.

Back to the topic, for full control of your wallet, and since the OP is particular about LTC, I will recommend Exodus wallet for desktop wallet or Coinomi for Mobile wallet. They both have a list of most of the top Altcoins and even some new ones with a lot of prospect and the good thing is that you can exchange directly within the wallet.

I am using Myetherwallet. I have read an article that this web wallet can handle different types of ERC-20 compliant cryptocurrencies or digital currencies made under the ETHEREUM code where you can manually add tokens if it is not found on its default lists using its contract addres, symbol, and decimals. The best way to store your precious LTC coins is in a proper LTC wallet, without MEW, no doubt.

For most altcoins, which are created on the platform of the Etherium suit wallet myetherwallet. There is another purse, Waves. Some altoquins have their own wallets, they are better downloaded from official websites.

I believe the best wallet  for LTC is  pollonix because you can keep it safe or exchange it to another coin.

I would suggest don't use any exchange for storing your coins, it's an exchange and not a wallet. You don't have any control in it so your coins is at risk.
Personally, I use coinomi wallet as it also have private keys and it caters variety of coins and it's supported by shapeshift.io and changelly so you can easily buy some coins.

There is nothing like an altcoin being listed in MEW. If it is an ERC20 token, then that is when you can have it in your MyEtherWallet. I am surprised most people here have no idea that Altcoins in general is not all about tokens and obviously most of you have no idea of what you are even saying or you probably did not even bother to read the OP. LTC was mentioned and you are recommending MEW!

If the OP is willing to make use of an exchange to keep most of his alts, then I will say he should make use of Bittrex but I would not keep all my assets here. So it is best you make use of Coinomi, Jax or Exodus wallet.

What wallets should i use for altcoins? Bought some LTC not sure what's better

Im using MyetherWallet for receiving altcoins and send altcoins , because usually some ICO not receiving exchanger address.
I recommend using Myetherwallet for receiving and send your altcoins , easy to use , can add new coin (if not listed on exchanger). Roll Eyes

Myetherwallet is so safe wallet and I recommend this one to be used by the other people who seeks some convenient wallet for stocking, And we can also used an hardware wallet if we want to hold some big volume of alts. but still Myether wallet is more easier for me since I can use it wherever I want but we should always make sure to became more responsible to our private keys so that we will not became a victim of hacking.

same as sir myetherwallet is so safe to use to recived alts. so many people to use this wallet besides safe trusted use it anyway for me this is the best wallet for me.

Myetherwallet

I think myetherwallet just support etherium and ERC20 token.
For altcoin, i think some altcoin has their own platform.

MyetherWallet is one love. A wallet with money is not a place for experiments. Proven methods are the best way to save your alts.
