One of the hardware wallets ledgerwallet or trezor. For a glorified memory stick ledgerwallet is not super cheap but it gets the job done. Expect to wait for a couple of weeks as the demand is high and price up to like 90 Euro now. I like it because they added Neo and are planning to add Rai Blocks which might also turn out to be interesting.

What wallets should i use for altcoins? Bought some LTC not sure what's better

I find coinbase in one of the best wallet to store LTC and Bitcoin. We have Myether, Electron, blockchain.info and etc. Make sure you choose the best wallet and enable the security options given by the  wallet administors. Activate 2FA authendication if your wallets has this option. Its always so welcoming. Once the wallet is opened, you will receive a code to your registered mobile number plus a mail to your registered mail id. These steps would keep you secured from hacking. Always recheck the URL.

As I know no specific wallet for all crypto currencies, because each coins and altcoins were provided their own wallet. However there were some wallets who provides some alternative coins, for example coinbase there only 4 coins including to their wallet, it is the bitcoin, ethereum, bitcoin cash and litecoin.

The best wallet for altcoin is the myether. Myether is the best and safe wallet that you can you in saving coins as well as the token. I can assure you that myether wallet is really secure. It is good to use especially if you have a large number of altcoin. If you are looking for a safe and secure wallet I recommend you to use myther wallet. Be a responsible one so that you can avoid any risk. Myether is very easy to use in sending coins even receiving.

I think bittrex you can choose , but there are advantages and disadvantages of all wallets including bittrex, eg bittrex not all altcoin can come in, but bittrex has more in terms of tighter security.

Try multi-currency purse Exodus. It supports a large number of different coins, and it's quite safe, as the developers of the wallet say. I like the nice interface and its performance. Very agile. The list of supported coins is constantly updated. For MEW badges. Well, the safest now, I think, hardware wallets.

Myetherwallet

If you are sending LTC to Myetherwallet just the same as you commit suicide. wkwkwkkw  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
look here  :
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/litecoin/#markets
you can put it in various markets.
but if you want you can keep it in LTC offline wallet

Yes your litecoi  will be loss because it can not cross the different blockchain between etherium and litecoin.
Myetherwallet is not altcoin wallet but etherium wallet and it can be used to store token based on erc20.

For LTC you can use Litevault or Litecoin Core. Both are safe wallets as long as you don't lose your private key. But between the two, the most I recommend is Litevault especially if you want to use a wallet that does not eat space on your hard drive. Other than that, you can also use modified clients or desktop wallets with support for multiple currencies. Some examples of these wallets are Exodus and Jaxx. You can store a number of altcoins on these wallets, but not tokens, so for that, try MyEtherWallet or Imtoken.

Hardware wallet is the safest wallet that you may use for your bitcoins even altcoins. And i propose you to use trezor, which is highly recommended for those long-term holders. This device allows you to store of almost two dozen altcoins including LTC, and all your ERC20 tokens.

MyEtherWallet is an ERC20 that you can used it to store your LTC also this wallet can access through different hardware like trezor, Metamask/Mist, and ledger wallet for maximum security purposes.

Another is Digital Identification Wallet (DIW) is also applicable to storage of any currency and credential. All features and functionalities of DIW are powered by block chain technology as it ensures consistency, transparency, security, swiftness and anonymity to all registered account holders of the DIW platform. It is also possible by block chain to offer crypto currency wallets, EHR and financial information, safety to their interests and day to day transactions.

Myetherwallet is only for ERC20 tokens, which is ethereum based tokens.. Its one of the safest wallet for altcoins.. You can store altcoins on MyEtherWallet.. Its easy to use just stay safe your private key.. And for litecoin you can use litecoin core and coinbase.. Both are best wallet.. Personally I use coinbase for litecoin.. Many people on the thread are recommending litecoin for myetherwallet.. Dont send litecoin to mew ..

Your myetherwallet is a good choice for storing coins, but you'll have big trouble if your computer's hard drive gets damaged, you'll have a hard time recovering your coins. I recommend storing coins in cold wallets, which is the best option for you.

No matter what wallet you use - go for one that supports a hardwallet like ledger nano s/blue og trezor. And keep a good backup of your Mnemonic Phrase.

That said - I love myetherwallet (except for max gas price is 99 gwei - not high enough for gas wars) and the ledger nano chrome extentions for BTC, LTC and so on.
