There's a lot of wallet you can use but I suggest you try to use Jaxx Wallet or Coinomi Wallet. Both of them can be downloaded in your cellphone; I am using them until now. Jaxx Wallet can be downloaded in IOS while Coinomi wallet can be downloaded in your computer or in your PlayStore in your Android cellphone. I like using these two wallets especially Jaxx wallet. You can save your Private Keys in a paper and passphrase for future uses. Just be sure you store it in a safe place so your're not susceptible to hacks and scams.
You cannot use MyEtherWallet  for MyEtherWallet are based in Ethereum or Erc20 tokens only.

You should go for hardware wallets, I recommend Ledger wallet. Its the best when it comes to saving your crypto currency. Super Safe and easy to use. You have your crypto in your hands.

Everyone speaks only about MYW, it's different, I use it too, but we must not forget about mobility and simplicity. For example, I use the MYW + Metamask chain, and the Jaxx mobile wallet (I use it on iOS), until I met a more mobile and convenient wallet

I store my large savings on the cold purse of Ledger Nano S. And for small currencies I prefer my wallet - myetherwallet. I think that it is safer to do this.

If you cook in general about purses, then of course, cold wallets such as trezor and ledger are much safer than all the others. But there is not always an opportunity to buy / order cold wallets

Myetherwallet is the best-known and easiest to use online wallet. Most cryptocurrency enthusiasts use the myetherwallet online wallet for othercoins. It is very versatile, can be used anywhere, as long as we own the login key.

Nano Ledger S – Hardware Wallet It is popular because of its relatively low price of $ 65 compared to its competitors.
Trezor – Hardware Wallet Even if your PC is compromised with malware, your private keys will still be safe with Trezor. In this sense, Trezor is more of a vault than a wallet.
MyEtherWallet – Paper Wallet If you don’t trust the online version, you can even download it from GitHub and run it offline. Paper wallets are free but require an in-depth knowledge to set it up properly. In short, this type of wallets generally take a lot of hassle and are not advised for novices.

myetherwallet for alcoin. because it is well protected, but you must be sure that you do not allow anyone to know the key, and you must save it if you want to save money. Smiley

The 2 best hardware wallets for Bitcoin

Ledger Nano S the cheapest multi-currency hardware wallet available ($65).

Trezor it is the world’s first secure Bitcoin hardware wallet. Its purpose is to store private keys and sign transactions offline.

Hi, good question, but for me, the best wallet would be the individual core wallet of each altcoin, why? its because you might have an assurance that your coin would not lost, because it is stored mainly on the core wallet of a certain token or coin, unlike keeping it on exchanges you might be at risk, especially if you are holding it for too long period of time, chances are it can be hack, and the exchanges would probably be gone scam or closed, so for the safe, you should keep it on the core wallets.

Have a great day.

Yes, myetherwallet is the best for altcoins at the moment. It's very easy to use. However, it is worth thinking about hardware wallets for greater currency security.

Myetherwallet, Trezor Wallet, Ledger Nano S Wallet , Paper wallet, Jaxx, Exodus. I would recommend paper wallet. I think it's the safest method. You can create your bitcoin wallet at https://bitcoinpaperwallet.com. You can send your  bitcoins by reading QR code on your wallet phone

What wallets should i use for altcoins? Bought some LTC not sure what's better

Hi J4ever, you can have a look at https://artisturba.com as it is a multi-crypto wallet.

At the moment the supported currencies are:

  • Ethereum
  • Bitcoin
  • Ripple
  • Artis
  • EOS

The planned supported currencies to be rolled out in the very near short term are:

  • Bitcoin Cash
  • Digibyte
  • Tron
  • OmiseGo
  • Litecoin
  • Dash
  • Monero
  • Electroneum

Whats more is that Artis Turba will have its own exchange coming live in June (with direct fiat for South Africa at first) and by Holding ARTIS you can also earn a share in revenue based on all listed currencies.

The best wallet for using altcoins is myether wallet. It is easy to use and safe to store altcoin. You can hold altcoins for a long time in this wallet.

I suggest you use Myetherwallet because its use is easier and simpler.
There may be lots of wallets but I am more comfortable using Myetherwallet.
LTC is a good coin, but I prefer ETH and you better choose ETH also because its value is more stable than LTC.
Or if you are unsure of my opinion, you can search for ETH excellence.
Hopefully, you are also interested in ETH.
