Why is Ethereum so special?

If bitcoin is the progenitor of cryptos, then ethereum is the progenitor of many tokens that makes up the majority of market activity. I'd also rather trust eth than waves since it is more established and more popular. It's kind of sad though that there has been many issues with it now like the parity attack.

Ethereum is what we call first move advantage. That is, that it's the first coin of its kind - similarly to BTC, it's the first coin that you were able to transfer value from one person to another, so Ethereum is the first coin that you're able to program. The thing about first movers, is that they are well known and have huge adoption, the higher the adoption the better for the coin. Higher adoption --> more use --> higher price, that's usually how it goes. ETH has already a big ecosystem and had released a standard called ERC20, which all of the projects get accustomed to use and utilize. It is very difficult to change these habbits, people will need to learn a new programming language if they want to use an alternative to Ethereum, which no one wants to do. And the team behind Ethereum is very skilled and experienced, they are ahead of many competitors which makes it even more harder that ETH will be replace, but who know's. We've see so many things in cyrpto land that nothing amazes me anymore.

Bitcoin maybe slow and has limits to how many transactions it can process but that is why there are hardforks. During a bitcoin hardfork, they are releasing a better and improved version of Bitcoin. Yeah it is now a different coin but it is still from the old Bitcoin.

The organization of the development community around Ethereum has been great.  Consensys has been a powerhouse in the community and continues to invest into good development, across the whole stack, from development tools, to protocols to end user apps.  I haven't seen that replicated in any altcoin yet though I don't claim to be an expert in altcoins.  I know Tezos, for instance, promised $50m to startups using Tezos, but it's still a far cry from the Consensys team.

I agree i see so many coins that are ETH based. I think ETH will have a good future just look how good its doing many coins are made eth based. This means that it will surely rise in the future.
Thats why I will do a investment soon on ETH. This coin will just be like a second bitcoin.

As on date , after bitcoin is something is trending is ETH as it is in the early ages and has got a long way to go. Its got good technology backed by good institutions and even we can see many more changes in the blockchain technology as upgrades will make the interface more user friendly. I will still buy some ETH coins and hold them long as in the long term it will fetch good profits.Trending coin in the future , will keep a close watch on the movements impacting ETH.

and still under bitcoin that are trusted just like bitcoin , ethereum are good because i love ethereum too just like bitcoin but nothing is more than just like in bitcoin i think that ethereum will still at the side being next good coin just like bitcoin maybe eth has no intention to surpass bitcoin.

ETH is a digital cryptocurrency. The value of token of the ETH is called ether. The marketing value of ETH is increasing day by day because many people believe in investing on the ether and investing as well. I hope stay invested  on ETH wallet and the marketing of new wallet continues to grow in future.

If you look closely you will notice that the rise in the value of Etherium has taken place starting from April of this year when it went parabolic. I believe that this was due to the ICO fever the we just witnessed and due to smart contracts eth was the obvious choice of most of the ICO's.

Ethereum is second best to Bitcoin because the smart contracts that Ethereum has can be used for all sorts of things.
