From what I read there are about 7 common uses of btc.

1) decentralized currency makes it easy to conceal your actual assets
2) buying things that the government does not allow
3) donating to a group or people that governments dont like
4) transfer of money from one jurisdiction to another without the notice of the government
5) gambling in places the government does not allow
6) purchasing services that are not allowed
7) deep web sites and other sites that are not common only accepting bitcoin

I agree to you thats why I use to gamble using bitcoin because my identity is hidden because in our country if you are working on a government agency you are not allow to play on a land base casino or I think if they find it also that you are gambling online you will also get fired from work.

All your points can't be applied to other countries though, not all people on other countries accept bitcoin and bitcoin is not popular in some countries too. I think the most common uses is for trading, gambling and buy/sell some stuff at online. Investing also one of them.
