Yes I already use my bitcoins as a digital currency to paying online. In bitcoin you can use them in all means of commercial or trade transaction.
The best thing from it is they provide convenience to the fullest and make the cost lesser, the process faster and no manual procedures at all.

I was using it in steam but my friends told me that they removed bitcoin from payment methods. Now, I use it for p2p payments and sending money to my siblings living abroad.

Still very useful for me these days even high fees.
Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Of course it needs to be legalised FIRST somewhere. But after that a, will you buy something online and pay in BTC ?
Or it’s just a form of investment like gold was a decade ago ?

My country has not yet centralized BTC because of some security issues, so I never used any BTC as a digital currency for paying only but this could be my dream when I need not to convert BTC into my local currency as use it as it is. There are still many countries who has legalized BTC and accepted BTC as a mode of payment and the millions of fan following and continuously increasing popularity would centralize the BTC all around the world and then we can use BTC as a mode of payment

And in my country have not yet legalized bitkoy and their use as a means of payment is impossible. Therefore, any crypto currency must be converted into local currency.

I was actually an investor and a user of bitcoin for 2 years already , i may say that i am one of the one who uses it for paying like bills . It is very convenient since i don't need to go to different different offices just to pay bills , now i can it online at home . Second i use bitcoin for buying prepaid load , i can also sell prepaid load to the buyers and get profit as well , i can also send remittances to my love ones in different part of our country using bitcoin , i can also use it for online shopping and wait for it until the item get delivered at home . Everything can be done with bitcoin without any hassle , stress free , and very convenient , you can also do work at home with bitcoin just hold your bitcoin and get profit . Bitcoin do really made my life so easy i don't need to fall in line just to pay bills . I can pay them on time

Thanks mate for your sharing.
That made me think of how much time we used to spend in line just waiting to pay something - it's so olddd!!! And I continue seeing people on the Post waiting their turn instead paying bills online. I mean come on, even if you don't have or don't want to use BTC, you got to have a prepaid or internet bank account for daylife bills.

BUt when you have to send the money abroad Cryptos are the best, the easiest and most profitable way to do it.

Many Thanks Sathosi  Wink Wink

I would rather not use my bitcoins to purchase anything online. I would rather just hold on to my bitcoins and let it collect money in time. However, if I have a need or an emergency purchase, I will just have to sell some of my bitcoins instead. I'm more confident in using fiat money than btc.

Ok got it. But you know you can do it whenever you want to exchange them - so you can actually use them !

I believe if bitcoin is legalized and many online stores accept it as a means of payment, there will be a lot of purchases by bitcoiners.
I personally will purchase a lot of things because buying with bitcoin is cheaper than buying in fiat.
I think nowadays is more expensive though - for small transaction. Somehow they will solve it. And it gonna to be legalised in more and more countries so you can buy stuff online as well as offline directly in store. Lighting will come and fix the issues  Cheesy

I support completely the idea of paying for goods and services with bitcoins. One of the best options for developing a financial system is for me. This type of payment will be indispensable if you solve some problems with transaction speed and high commission.

Somehow they gonna fix it , do not wonder too much  Smiley Lightening or whatever come next will definitely come handy.

Here in the Philippines, 7/11 are accepting bitcoin as a payment through the use of coins.ph (popular wallet in the here). I'm already using bitcoin as paying online. Less hassle and more time to do other things.

Great news! Thanks for sharing buddy

But the problem is transaction fee every BTC usage is high enough nowadays. Many have complained about it. That's why BTC is not effective for micro-payment. I think, currently bitcoin is only ideal for commodities and assets, because the selling value is very high.

You are right. Nowadays it's so expensive to buy something cheap that you are gonna spend much more fees than what you are buying instead. And that's bad. Of course they are doing that to prevent Ddos attack but there may be another way, and they will find soon hopefully.

The user always does something that is more convenient or profitable. If in the short term "lightning network" is implemented, and atomic swaps, your questions will fall away. The money will only be needed for pensioners.

Yes, used to use it, it was the primary motive to get to know Bitcoin, but as the days passed the value rised and now I don't find it si=uitable enough due to high fees considering the fiat valuation. I prefer other coins perhaps, and use Bitcoin as a investment and also to buy or trade other altcoins and often ICOs as well if possible.

I believe almost everybody in the cryptoworld would want to use bitcoin to make payments online but there are still some limitations in doing that as few merchants currently accept it in their online stores as one of the payment methods.I can't wait for e-commerce sites like amazon, eBay and others to start accepting it.

Or it’s just a form of investment like gold was a decade ago ?

I used Bitcoin for online payments, I used to buy a Bitcoiner laptop and I used Bitcoin to pay for it. I found the payment is quite high fee this is the point I do not like it.

For me, I will not. Since I do also have a saving in terms of fiat, I will just tend to use those because keeping and holding Bitcoin will be much more beneficial rather than spending it just to pay your online payments for the products or services you have purchased. There is already COD or cash on delivery so there is no such issue on that although the processing will take time before the success, it will be better rather than paying it with cryptocurrency which has the potential to grow even larger quantity.
