People didn't had the balls to buy at $1000, not at $2000, not at $3000, not at $4000, not at $5000 -- what's new? People constantly get demotivated by the price that has up significantly already, but you have to look at the bigger picture. If you don't buy at current levels, you'll end up in the exact same position when the price has gone up to +$10,000 levels. This market has a tremendous amount of long term growth potential, so focus on that -- short term ups and downs do not affect the long term price, that should be clear by now. If you really 'believed' in Bitcoin, this wouldn't be an issue. Wink

I do not even have the courage to buy Bitcoin. Although I believe Bitcoin a lot. Many of my friends have made a lot of money by investing in Bitcoin. So I am thinking that I will buy Bitcoin in the future. As Bitcoin too Rising to 5000+ USD   Grin

WHAT DO YOU THINK ?  Roll Eyes

You have reached this level in this community and still not believed in bitcoin? What's keeps you from buying? After what you have seen since the beginning of this year that bitcoin has reached, I don't know more than 300% already? If that is not enough for you to really put your money into the system, then I don't know what else could sway you. Your friends did it, most of the newbies joined the bandwagon, and you are the only few who still hadn't ride the hype train. You have lost a lot of opportunity to earn huge amount of profit if you are able to buy at around $1000 early this year. You don't need to buy like 1 BTC, you can just get it portion by portion and I'm sure that your wallet by now should have a least 1 full BTC. I guess its not too late, specially the price is currently going down, you can still buy it and hodl and realized your profit later. I hope you make your decision mate.

Waiting for the future is the worst thing people do when they just "think" of buying bitcoins and don't "do" it.
Here I am, in no means, trying to ask/motivate you hard to buy Bitcoins because it is totally your decision to do it or not.
But believing in it couldn't justify your "failure" of taking advantage of an opportunity that "used to be there" but you didn't take it.
So, just STOP THINKING AND START BUYING, because even if you manage to buy small pieces of Bitcoins, it will become a habit of yours.
As well, it will eventually be worth something more only in the future, so what's the big deal?

Why you will buy bitcoin in the future? You are a believer and you know that the price can go up higher in the future so don't wait for that day before buying. It's good to buy now and the price went down today and it's better if you did bought some of it but today it's starting to increase again. And that's why if I were you I will take the courage and will not be scared of buying bitcoin today (I don't only have the budget today). It will be useless if you are a bitcoin believer and you don't want to buy.

If you want a good USD ROI you can wait for 1 year or 2 by now and buy the dip. After $1200 USD pike on november 2013 bitoin fall to $200USD some years later... So why not again ?

You mean buy the dip when it dips from $15k to $10k? LOL

Buying isn't a compulsory activity but should be done on a temporary basis if not permanent.
I am not saying that you should buy a whole 1 BTC, try buying smaller amounts because this will not only support you in the future (when the price increases), but you are also showing support to the community as well as Bitcoins by putting your own money into this because unless you buy it, you won't be able to understand the significance of the role it plays in our life now.

Well, I invested in Bitcoin when the price was $4600, then it started to drop the day after. It didn't stop until it hit $2900. If I was a short-term trader, that would've been an unfortunate time to invest. Look at the price now though, a month later. If you're in it for the long haul, there's no wrong time to get in. If you do it now you'd still be an early adopter, remember that like every speculative asset, Bitcoin can only rise so far. $100.000, $1.000.000, who knows when it'll stabilize (if it survives). Just don't wait for years, otherwise you'll forever have missed out on the (potentially) biggest payoff.

Everything you're talking about has happened in a very short period of time, so I don't really get your point here. Long term in my book is when you hold your coins for at least a year or two. If we look at the time frame you bought, when the price went down, and when it recovered to where we stand right now, it's extremely short term.

----

I constantly see people say that they believe in Bitcoin, but how can someone believe in Bitcoin when they don't even know what it is? In this case it perfectly shows that OP doesn't really have any confidence in Bitcoin at all. Any person understanding what Bitcoin is capable of, will not wait with buying themselves into this market, even when the market has gone up quite a bit already. In this case, you're better off not buying yourself into Bitcoin at all. Only invest money into something you know what it is, and that clearly isn't the case.

What do you expect for them if they can't afford the price? $1000 is a bit low and cheap when talking about bitcoin but in reality some people haven't had that kind of money to buy thinking that they also had some priorities and needs. For those people who can afford at this price i am sure that they are lucky now because their investments got doubled or tripled within a month/year.

I just showed that short term fluctuations like that don't matter if you're holding long term (for at least a couple of years, like you said). Even if the price recovered in a short period of time, it demonstrates how it always reaches new hights, even after significant dips.

The more you wait for opportunity, the higher the possibility that you loss some. If you will keep on waiting for "the right time", you might end up wasting your time since no one can guarantee in Bitcoin will crash dramatically, lower than the current price, in the future. So it is best to buy now then hold, if the price crashed then buy again. As simple as that. At least you did not waste any of your time waiting for something that might not even come in the first place.

Yes we are not expected that bitcoin is going to crash, but it is price is expected more to increase, because of the strong support of the people. bitcoin has in fact has a very strong support from the investor side which is preventing bitcoin from crashing. i think if we cannot afford to buy a whole bitcoin at least we can trade some satoshi and hope that it will also give us a reasonable profit after some time.

when is the Future you're talking about? When bitcoin goes up and made up your mind again. better act on it.
Angst in the pants about next two or three hardforks. Looking for a save heaven which could be Dollars across all of these events.

There is that little Buffett guy sitting on my should whispering about greed and fear, and basically rephrasing Rothschild with his blood in the streets. Lots of trouble ahead and an ATH ain't exactly blood. This is a selling point in time.

Why not buy today since the price of bitcoins is at drop and invest in the near future to await a higher rate of return to your investments in bitcoin. I mean sell it if the price value becomes 6000-7000 USD that would have been gain considering the fact that you buy bitcoin at a lower price today. Just saying it no wrong to invest today than regret it the future value of time.

We keep on blaming ourselves when we don’t get profit for the same time we don’t do anything to change and learned from it. It a cycle that only you can make a difference, stop regretting but go for it. If you have invested at 4000$ per bitcoin at this time you must have profited 1600$ that is regrettable honestly but how to overcome ourselves by doing risky things is sometimes the problem.

Why not invest today? The more you delay it the more opportunity you are losing. Bitcoin's value keep on increasing everyday so if you want higher returns from your investment, do it now. Goodluck man! Smiley

Really? Are you going to magically find the courage at $10k? $20k? In a few months $5 or $6k is gonna look so low! Now is always the best time to buy! Wait and you'll have to buy higher, wait very long and you'll have to buy much higher.

Bitcoin investment is taking risk and if you do not have any guts you better shift to other way of earnings because here your fears will not make you rich. You can try investing little by little like what they say invest what you can afford to lose, but you must understand that bitcoin is really a wise investment to take and I never heard anyone here complaining that they lost in bitcoin investment just learn how to play the game.

what are you talking about?if you dont have the Guts buying bitcoin now when would it be?if bitcoin comes 10000k usd?if you really want to invest in bitcoin community u should have do that now,not tomorrow not on the next years.but today

he said he dont have the guts to buy bitcoin because bitcoins value today is friggin high it was like 5000$+ , so literally he wont buy today, tommorow or on the next day rather i sugest to the op that he must wait if for the bitcoins value to go down low until 3000$ or lower because bitcoin is not totally stable and will always be fluctuate because of volatility. so i guess theres nothing to worry because we can stil be able to afford it sooner or later if we have a patience to wait.
