http://www.smos-linux.org/rabbit/

SMOS: LTCRabbit Edition

If you using SMOS, register at LTCRabbit pool from http://www.smos-linux.org/rabbit link, and get 2 weeks of 0% fee pps mining.

Can someone help me.

when mining with one 5870 I can't get it hashing faster than ~300kh/s

When I was mining with Windows 7 I got ~400
I would run via this line: cgminer-3.4.3-windows\cgminer.exe --scrypt -o http://coinotron.com:3334 -u evlewlew.miner0 -p xxx --thread-concurrency 7168 -I 17 -g 1 -w 256

How can I incorporate these settings in the cgminer.conf file in SMOS.  I tried editing it to the best of my knowledge but i think some other arguments are causing the low performance.  When I tried to remove the arguments I thought were unnecessary then cgminer wouldn't even open.

Does anyone have a working config file for a 5870 with SMOS or can help me make one based on the settings above?

Great news on the 1.1 release.. Just hit the forums since I'm trying to figure out why with more than 3 cards in the system it starts throwing vmalloc errors. It looks like the 32-bit kernel isn't handling 4+ R9s properly with the current Catalyst driver.

Does SMOS 1.1 bump the kernel to 64-bit?

Thanks

Great work on your new update!

Do you know how can i change the size of the image to use a 16 gb pendrive and have the other 14 gb usable within smos?

Minar.cc pools are not running anymore, the domain was registered by someone else and I don't have any relationship with the new owner.

This img 2GB can be used on any USB, so you can put on 16 32GB - no problems Smiley

SMOS Linux 1.2:

http://smos-linux.org/SMOS-Linux1.2-2GB.zip.torrent (download via torrent is maybe faster in this time)
http://smos-linux.org/SMOS-Linux1.2-2GB.zip

We do fast upgrade to 1.2 for this errors, its same like 1.1, just fixed pair of bugs in status. Its better to change it to 1.2. Report it via email if you find sometnihg. Thanks

- Web status bug fixed (if you have someone error, report it like they report this)
- xrdp installed by default (we forgot this, and we are sorry about it)

You can change it if you know. You dont need for mining full usb.
I know it is not necessary, but i need it for something else, i want to solo mine and i need to download the block chain and it wont fit in the free space left in your image.
Every time i change the size of the partition, it just stops working, wont boot. Can you help me ?

Minar.cc pools are not running anymore, the domain was registered by someone else and I don't have any relationship with the new owner.

Which tool are you using?
The only one i tried was Partition Magic on windows, but i can try another if you suggests one..
I see 2 partitions one ~500 and one ~1.5gb.

Use this.
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/gparted/gparted-live-0.16.2-11-i486.iso
Burn on CD and boot it. Then resize your USB.

64-bit would be great. Lot of people are GPU&CPU mining and we need x64 support. Installing other linuxes are painful.

Thanks!
