Solo mining NXS.
They just created a pool and getting most people to mine on their pool, and strangely mining solo is FAR more profitable now.
8-9 blocks per day with 900-950 MHS.
Thinking of getting another couple rigs..

It's pretty easy;

Download wallet from their website, LLD + LLD Database, Install wallet, then close it,
drag and drop database into nexus appdata / roaming folder.
Also in the appdata / roaming folder, create text file, write this:

llpallowip=127.0.0.1:9325
mining=1
unified=1

save as nexus.conf (make sure it's .conf not .conf.txt)
open wallet back up and let it catch up sync'ing the blockchain.
Wait until there is a green check at the bottom right

Miner is an SK miner mod, works great
https://www.dropbox.com/s/epbqsmcq47e4v62/SKMinerV1.0.zip?dl=0

Edit the bat file and change the "1" to however many cards you have on your rig.

Once you see the green check, run the miner.

Hit blocks.

I would recommend checking this website: https://nxsorbitalscan.com/ a couple times a day to make sure your miner is on the same block, sometimes I have to reset the wallet and miner every 3-4 days.

You'll only have like 120mhs or so on NXS and it's solo mining so I probably wouldn't suggest it. I have a 350mhs rig that makes $11/day but not near as good as my 920mhs rig, making $90-115/day.. Maybe stick with ETH unless you can afford to test it for a week.

Everything is here and here:

https://nxsforum.com/topic/55/how-to-enable-solo-mining

https://nxsforum.com/topic/56/nexus-faq-s

and their website ( http://www.nexusearth.com/ ) under DOWNLOADS is LLD wallet and LLD database...

I am not affiliated with NXS, I just switched off from zcash and ETH mining and making way more.

I've been solo mining NXS with a GTX 1080 and 1070 getting 320 MH/s and averaging a block every two days. Definitely not bad, but nowhere near the OP profitability claim.

Don't think AMD does as well as Nvidia. Here is the Nexus AMD miner by Wolf0.

Could you share a screenshot of your mining experience? Also, is it okay if you'll include the setup of your rig? I only have 2x 1080 and mine XMR which only gives me around $1 to $2 a day on a pool. There's no way I can catch up with solo mining unless I have at least 6 to 8 1080. I'm not giving up on Monero but I'm open into exploring in other coins as well.

How many Nexus coins did you earn? OP said he has 6x 1080 so maybe thats his reason compared to yours? I'm really curious regarding his claims. I guess we'll just have to wait for an actual screenshot his.

The block reward is the same regarless of how much hash power you have. OP claims he's finding 9 blocks a day with 950 MH/s, which is 600% more than what i'm averaging. Proportionally I should be finding ~3 blocks a day with 320 MH/s to have the same profitability.

I don't believe in such indicators. I think it's fake. Solo mining is good, but too big probability that you will not earn anything. It seems to me that it is better to join a pool of reliable and guaranteed to have a reward. Now we see a General downward trend in profitability of production so there is no point to waste time on such ventures.

Doesn't mean its fake, maybe he was just lucky and jumped the gun to tell everyone. Sometimes you find 3 blocks within 2 minutes of each other, sometimes you can't find a block for days. It averages out in the long run based on block times and difficulty.

Nope, these guys are flying under the radar for a long time, they're not on whattomine or cryptowarz or anything. That's the reason it's so profitable.
I have gone 2 days without getting a single block, and then got 14 blocks in 1 day. It's VERY random, but averages out to be pretty damn good.

There is a working AMD miner though, but it looks like they deleted it..

These guys are aware of this post and are talking on slack about trying to debunk that nexus is profitable because they're worried about the influx of new miners will hurt their profitability

https://ibb.co/mHNHt6
https://ibb.co/nHUmmR

Look at date on miner 9/20/17 then go check price of nexus on that day.
1 rig. 111 nexus. Times that by nexus price on that day. >300 usd I believe

Watch out for guys trying to say it's not profitable, they're just trying to stay greedy and keep it for themselves.

But anyways at 936MHS - 4.2 blocks in 1 day 15 hours (2nd screenshot) is not 8-9 blocks a day as you said. If you make 8-9 blocks a day with 900-950MHS a single 1080 can make 1.8 - 2 blocks a day and it's not possible on average.

Still 2 or 3 blocks a day is not bad at all, far from $100 but better than most coins.

lol 8-9 blocks / day with 1gh.. you either got really lucky or are trolling.  I mined it for months and switched off because profitability has dropped so much.  But I do encourage you all to try it out for yourselves.  It's an awesome project and these coins you do mine will be worth many times what they are now in the future.

They have a guide for both windows and linux on how to set-up solo mining. You can read more here https://nxsforum.com/topic/55/how-to-enable-solo-mining

And find miners here http://www.nexusearth.com/mining.html

The wallet runs fine but Nvidia source code is like 3 years old and does not compile.

I tried with a 6x 1080ti rig for 22 hours, and got zero blocks solo mining.  1312 MH/s

Oh well, it was worth a shot.

Exactly.. people are dreaming if they think they'll get 8-9 blocks per day with 1 MH/s.  At nexuspool.ru there's a calculator you guys can use to see an accurate estimate of what you should expect to earn per day.

Solo mining NXS is a bit like playing the lottery unless you have a lot of hash.  If you wanna take a gamble then go for the solo mining, you may get lucky.  If you want steady payouts use the pool though.

With your 1312 MH/s solo mining you might go 4-5 days without hitting a block, or you may get lucky and hit like 4 in a day.  On average though you'd probably hit 1 block per day.

Well I guess OP just got lucky and quickly post it. I was planning to switch mining these coin w/ my 2x 1080 rig as I'm tired of mining XMR even though I'm still earning enough.

I've been monitoring this thread for 3 days straight and I request for a screenshot so maybe luck was on OP's side.

The thing is, if/when nexuspool goes down, diff goes down dramatically and you get to instamine a dozen blocks in short period of time. Look at the diff of OP's screenshots.
But that ship has sailed now that everyone is soloing and sp_ released an optimized mod.

Solo mining NXS.
They just created a pool and getting most people to mine on their pool, and strangely mining solo is FAR more profitable now.
8-9 blocks per day with 900-950 MHS.
Thinking of getting another couple rigs..
is this true  Shocked i have 3x1080 is there any luck for me ..

Hmm, I have:

2 rigs with 8x 1080Ti
1 rig with 4x 1080Ti
1 rig with 5x 1070
1 rig with 6x 1050Ti

They are all mining ZEC on MPH doing 17,500 KH/s combined pulling in about 0.3 ZEC a day (and ZEC is down 7.5% for the week).

Maybe I should swing them over to solo mining NXS to see how it goes.

I'm running nvOC (linux) on my rigs though, so I'm not sure how big of a pain it would be coax them into mining NXS...

Why don't you use them into mining XMR's rather than Zcash? I'm earning at least $1 to 2$ with my 2x 1080ti on my own mining rig. You're lucky to have that kind of hardware so I suggest go with the coin with low diff.

Quick question though, where did you boughy those VGA of yours? I'm still searching for a place where I can buy cheap 1080's even a second hand will do as long as it is cheap. Much better if you may refer me into one.

Well, if solo mining makes profit then pool mining should be good as well. But if we can't earn that much at pool mining , then solo profit is just lucky.

No, not always. The topic starter might have gotten all those coins from solo mining because the main pool(s) was/were down for some time (= lots of miners stopped hashing  during the downtime), the diff adjusted... and that's how he could get a lot more mining solo than if he would've been pool mining.

Decided to mine NXS on that pool just for fun. It went quite well for the first day or two (nothing out of the ordinary, profits in line with the calculator), but then I started to drop hashrate for some reason. I think the pool started to disconnect. Miner kept restarting... So I quit for now.

Yeah the pool had to be restarted this morning I saw.  If that happens again you can switch between the us and eu server.

I'm going to give it a shot. I never did solo mining so far. So few questions, I download the wallet, sync it up and run miner. But where to configure my payout address? In the miner itself like we do in pools or it's automatically deducts the wallet address that is installed in the system ?

If you want to solo miner then check post #5 in this thread for instructions https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2291865.msg23261786#msg23261786.  You mine directly to your wallet, you don't have to put an address anywhere.

Be prepared to not hit a block for a very long time solo mining unless you have a lot of hash power.

Thanks mate!! I have 8X1070 and I was hitting 240MHps in ETH. I probably will hit around 500MHps here I think. I'll try it out tonight and let know my luck lol

I was getting around 500-600MHps. I really wish 1GHps haha, may be possible with some overclocking. Anyone has  on the OC settings for Asus GTX 1070?

And After running for few hours, I noticed there is a latency and I'm mining old blocks lol, off by 40-50 blocks. Need to check that as well.

I'm using +100 MHz core clock, -500 MHz memory clock at 70% power limit with a Zotac AMP! Extreme 1070 and get ~150 MH/s. My GTX 1080 gets ~170 MH/s.

Anyone can put here the config for mine Neox please?

I try really with both pools eu/us, and i can join in the pool, but the miner restart 2sec after joining in the pool!

I try also different miners (wolf0, SKminer, solo and pool)

Only with the eu/us pool .ru is connected, but after connect restart ...and this every 2sec!

with 4 1080ti (953mh/s) better to mine in the pool or go solo?

Not sure. Been mining solo for 3 days with 700mh/s and found 1 block. Just started pool mining a few hours ago and looks like I'm about to earn 8-9 coins/24h.

Not very profitable.

Yesterday I had problems connecting to the pool. I was connected but after I joined the mining pool went in a regular mode. Probably this was due to the overflow of the pool. But I think that $ 100 a day to install 6 GPU I think it's fake. I don't believe in such indicators.

it's not fake, when the pool goes down, the diff goes down dramatically, so during that time frame if you're solo mining you get to instamine some blocks. Look at the diff on the screenshots its only 98, while usually the diff moves from 4-7k

It does not seem to yield after this thread as it seems. Lucky if you can get a block in 24 hours. Which is about $11, mining somewhere else will yield a lot higher.

For one, the miner you linked is the POOL version. This is the miner I use to solo mine.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=657601.msg21261522#msg21261522

Otherwise the block you found was already submitted by another miner before you did (orphan).

Well I tought it too, but miner shows it was accepted and why wallet shows the transaction then? I've never tried solo mine so this really confuse me.
I will try that miner. Thx.

I think it's a problem with how the miner and wallet display solo mining shares. The miner shows the share was found (block) and the wallet shows the block was submitted, but the transaction was never confirmed because it was an orphan. If you check the transaction list in the wallet there should be no transaction listed.

The prime (CPU POW), hashing (GPU POW) and POS all use different minting channels with separate difficulties for each. Otherwise the CPU and POS channels would never solve a block.

Quote
Minting Channels
Prime (CPU), Hashing (GPU), and Nexus Proof of Stake (nPOS)

Block Time
300 seconds for Hashing minting channel and 300 seconds for Prime minting Channel for an average of 150 seconds
60 seconds for nPOS

Block Reward
Prime and Hashing Minting Channels: The effective reward is established by the reserve balances. These reserves have a decayed amount deposited every time interval of one minute. If the balance is below a given threshold, the reward value will be based on a time’s value of a decayed amount. This means that the reward will be given based on how long it was taken to create the block. This prevents the reserves from being depleted as large amounts of computing power jump on and off the mining network.

nPOS Minting Channel: The effective reward is an annual interest rate that ranges between 0.5 and 3.0% annually.

Minting Difficulty
The miner’s difficulty is calculated by a proportion generated from the time it took to create the block, and the target time. The target time is calculated by the NXS Reserves working to deflate the difficulty if the reserves go over a threshold. This is designed to maintain transaction processing in the loss of computing power to given channel, by aiding in the reduction of the difficulty to a more suited level.

Yes, there are no transactions, I've checked it on block explorer too. This just confused me :/
I start that miner you sent and it's great I've got 10MH/s more on total. Thanks. Majoh done good work, do you have also source codes? I can't find them. I would like to compile it with CUDA 9.

So I connect few other rigs to same wallet. Is there way how to monitor my whole hashrate in the wallet? I can't find any usefull commands for debug window. And Also I'm facing problem when my second rig found block, not the one running wallet, it stop all the other rigs... They found today just 1 block so maybe it's one time problem.

I don't think that's possible to monitor whole hashrate in the wallet.  Using the pool (nexuspool.ru) will help alleviate the problems that many face while solo mining.  At the pool you can view your actual hashrate that is being accepted by the network.

Yeah, but I can mine block per day with 6x 1060 3GB, on the pool I can't mine 11 NXS with this power. I like solo mining, but I've never tried it before so I'm experimenting. Do you know where are sources for Nexus pool I'm thinking about starting mine own private pool that should solve my problems.

You are averaging a block / day for how long?  What hashrate do you get with 1060's?  You shouldn't get more solo mining than at the pool in the long run.  It's just you have been lucky in the short term with your solo mining.  You will go days without hitting a block solo mining for sure.

The pool is not open source yet, but the developer says he will open it up once he cleans the code up.

You can join the NXS slack if you want to talk to the pool dev.  He hangs out in the mining channel there.  http://nexusearth.com/slack.html

Solo mining NXS.
They just created a pool and getting most people to mine on their pool, and strangely mining solo is FAR more profitable now.
8-9 blocks per day with 900-950 MHS.
Thinking of getting another couple rigs..

thanks for the updated, much appreciated.

Not exactly sure what 1070 gives, but 1080ti msi armor gives ~255 mh/s at 70% TDP, mem -1000, core +140

1070 might be somewhere around 140-150 with similar settings.

Thanks for the info! I see you underclocked the memory to minimum and instead oc the clock. These settings are specified for this coin/algo or it was a typo ( +1000 mem) ?

correct - its not profitable, however, while waiting for bitcoin gold to run live, we will keep mining, hopefully will hit few blocks by then.

I was testing it with 6x 1060 3GB at 486MH/s for 3 days I found 2 blocks and 1 probably orphaned... Now I've connected 3 rigs with total of 12x 1060. Together doing almost 1100MH/s, yesterday it found 1 block, today 2 blocks, but strange is the rig with 6x 1060 and running wallet didn't find any block since then, I hope it's only bad luck. I give it few more days and if it won't found any block only those 2 other rigs I will move the wallet to another machine and connect those 3 rigs to the wallet running on new machine. The pool would really make it more easy for me.
