Is there any explanation of the graphs? I do understand the basic course but not all the bars. And about the bottom graph... I do not understand anything in the bottom graph.  Grin Huh

BID and ASK are not true for Euro:

Oh I see! Its buy and sell!
Would you like to prefer BID (buyers) and ASK (sellers)?
I do.

Love the appearing roller-coaster video Smiley

Got to send a donation - really love what you have done.  You should write and exchange that doesn't lag - hint hint...

Yes they changed it now. Wink THANKS

I want ask something more about the "background" of the prices? Why is the BID higher than the ask? screenshot above. It should not happen, right? Because "Mtgox trading engine lag"?

Request: could you add https://btcchina.com/ ? Lately they have been leading the charge in the rally, bitcoin is already over $200 measured in yuan.

I know this because Tyler knows this.

Yo!  Comboy.  I'm in a giving mood and have been deferring paying my due until BTC were worth more.  Now I'm ready, but I want to double-confirm that the addy on the web site is not hooked to Instawallet or something silly like that first.  Have not seen you on (this thread) for a while.

  • fixed timezone issue
  • less people should have problem connecting
  • buy/sell changed to bid/ask, and yes sometimes ticker and market depth are lagging compared to trades on mtgox
  • full depth is now available for other mtgox currencies too

Market depth is fetched in "shots" from mtgox. I'll try to make it updated in realtime (as an option), but I'm afraid most users may not like that it will make site more cpu intensive.

I only use good old fashioned original client.

Ah, 'the few, the proud'.  I didn't notice the vanity.  One sent.  I use the 'bad' old fashioned client.  Probably hard on the network, but I think I built it just after one of the most unpleasant of network behavior bugs.  I only fired it up recently after a year (or more) of down-time.

BTW, did you put an Easter-egg in when the price hit $200/BTC?  I was sleeping soundly when I was awakened by a song coming from my computer going something like "Money makes the world go around, world go around, world go around.  moneymoneymoneymoney...".  That's why I woke up.  It quit right when I un-did my screen lock.  I've got about 1000 browser tabs going so it could be a lot of things.  It got me paranoid though.  I need to switch back to running anything important on a headless dedicated machine again.  (Probably should be better about turning down Bitcoinity when I'm sleeping to.)

Thanks a lot! Whole round bitcoin is really nice to have these days Smiley

Apologies to you and all others scared by the video.

There's http://bitcoinity.org/markets/btcchina/CNY and more exchange/currency pairs coming soon.

Scrollbar appearing when there's gox lag should be fixed now.

And if you are experiencing some realtime updates issues at the moment, I'm sorry (hit refresh), this should hopefully be fixed within a day, I'm upgrading to gbit connection and possibly also bumping hardware (although, seriously, you are going to stop watching this price any time now, right?)

Variance is a bitch!

It was a giant favor to re-remind me of the various potential attack vectors and spur me into being reasonably proactive about implementing a good risk management strategy.  Things which made sense at $3/BTC now seem horribly risky at $233/BTC.

mtgox: http://bitcoinity.org/markets?exchange=mtgox (a bit laggy while their API is still not fully functional)
tradehill: http://bitcoinity.org/markets?exchange=tradehill

I just wanted to create some thread to collect feedback.
Ideas or problem reports are welcome.

Basically I just created it to have some live ticker on my unused 15" LCD (so it's kinda optimized for 1024x768 full screen), but since some poeple started using it, I'm developing it a bit more. More features coming soon.

Could you label the axes...?  Some are obvious... others, not so much.  Thanks.
