What is going on here? Nothing to worry about? I don't think there is anything to worry about I've seen similar correcting entries quite a few times before, and I have some of these on the same date as yours. So unless you see some really huge discrepancies, I guess you can safely ignore them. In the last case, it looks like we were credited a little bit more than we should have been. I refer to credits on the 21st of September (at least, as it happened in my case, dunno about you)

Concerns:
- Is there really any room for error here?
- What is actually going on at Bitfinex that is causing this?
- How many accounts are impacted?
- At times, Bitfinex overwhelms users with announcements and notifications, yet there's no mention of what this is about?
- Or is this entirely normal, has an already established explanation (please provide), and I'm just now noticing?
Anyone?

I see similar reports for my fundings. As all the plus and minus is roughly zero, I'll not bother to ask the support for an explanation. But yes, an email with some information what was going on would be... nice. Seems the same corrections happended for other guys as well: https://www.reddit.com/r/bitfinex/comments/72lbla/margin_lending_payments_not_coming_in_properly/@pfx Bitfinex does not care about this thread anymore, guess you have to contact them via "new media" channels to get an answer. Twitter, reddit etc.

Any info out there about Bitfinex and segwit2x? They are neither on the segwit2x nor on the no2x lists. What does interest me more, however, is if they will help me to sell 2x-coins for Bitcoins. They had futures before, which even work before an actual hardfork. It's all different and more messy this time, if they go through with a hardfork with no replay protection. But I'm sure BitFinex has it on their radar for months and are figuring out how to enable trading of some kind.

I'm using the API to trade. Often I'm getting errors like this: Invalid order: not enough exchange balance for -2.8459 ETPETH at 0.003383 I checked and double checked, the balance in the wallet is correct, and is exactly the same amount as on the failed sell order. I guess that I'm not the only one that's facing this issue. Is there any logical explanation why this happens? Any suggested workarounds? On a different subject: I have strange cases where I make a trade on the EOS-ETH pair, for example, and the fee is deducted from USD. In other cases, it's deducted from either part of the pair. Does anyone knows how BFX decide which asset to take the fee from? And another issue that I couldn't get a clear answer about from BFX support: Are trades always received from the API (WS) in the order they have executed? Specifically I'm interested to know the answer for this for orders that happened at the same second - are they correctly ordered by execution order, or there is no such guarantee? So, if anyone knows the answers to these questions, I would be more than grateful. Obviously, no point in appointing me to BFX support as it just means months of waiting. - Michael

This might be caused by a rounding error. Have you tried making the same order with -2.8458 ETPETH? Any other amount that is smaller than your actual balance should work as well. Of course this could also be caused by other problems in your code or indeed be a problem at the Bitfinex side. However, I would suggest trying my recommendation first, because this seems one of the more straightforward solutions.

Hey @Samarkand!
Thanks for reaching out to help!!
I have resolved to something similar, in the mean while, and attempting to sell only 0.8 of the intended sell amount (and thus 0.8 of current balance). No errors encountered so far. I'd give it some more time to run and then give your suggestion a try.
That figure (-2.8459) is the exact balance as it's received from the exchange API. The same figure also appears in the bitfinex trading interface. So, if there is a rounding error, it must be on the exchange's side. Am I right, or maybe I'm missing something?

Then it could be, that bitfinex did not credit you the money from the previously cancelled order back yet. I was told that I should wait for the 2nd cancel event from websocket v2 and then I can be sure that the amount was already credited back. About "deducted from USD". You can change fee details in your settings from what amount you want to deduct. And I guess, if you do not have enough balance from this currency, bitfinex can also deduct it from other currencies.. (at least kraken makes it this way, not sure for bitfinex). About WS trades: Don't know unfortunately, but I guess they are correctly ordered. I fear only support can give you a 100% correct answer to this.

Thanks Serpens66!
I don't think that this is my case. As I'm tracking wallet updates from the API as well, and only sending the next order with the available amount in balance at that moment.

The funding engine continues to have errors. Notably when you issue an auto renew, it doesn't always execute. You can have money sitting around for a day (or who knows how long - as I manually re-issue the offers to fix it). The funding engine has never worked perfectly since April 2011. I file about three support tickets per year regarding ongoing funding engine issues.
I haven't examined funding interest, but it is interesting that two parts of the engine appear to be buggy.

Could you describe the problem in detail (very detailed, so support can direclty work on it) If many users report the bug, maybe it will be taken serious.

why do you continue to use this shitty exchange? I suppose because of somewhat advanced tools (margin, leverage, lending etc) you don't find everywhere and because of liquidity. Ente

Ente All the exchanges are sh*tty to a certain extent. I have found Bitfinex to be a bit less sh*tty than most of the others. Hopefully, this is something that will get better as crypto goes more mainstream in the future.

Did you check your spam box? Personally, I never had any issues with confirmation emails from Bitfinex unlike, say, Poloniex, which is famous for its shitty email service (and they have been caught lying in the past about the delays which were entirely their fault). Interestingly, about a week ago I received an email from the Bitfinex tech support team (about my ticket that I started a month or so ago), and they have been apologizing for the delays since they claim they had to hire more personnel due to the influx of new users (likely from Btc-e back then).

Did you use this withdrawal address before? Did you change anything on your security settings in the last 5 days? I think either of those can slow it down and also if it's a very large amount.
