I understand that it is difficult for you to determine the choice now, but if you have already decided to take up this matter and get out of it in a stroke, I would pay attention to the altcoins, they are now the most successful. Like ethereum (actually we waiting it rise), litecoin, monero, etc.

There is also a some chance to win in ICO. But this is all a strategy that you must analyze for yourself and take advantage of the plan that you yourself will create. After al, no one else knows what you need and how.

I see that you have got a pretty decent amount of money to invest.Do not make any quick decisions as no one would like to lose this kind of money.There are many cryptocurrencies available in the market which are currently very cheap and are expected to rise at a skyrocketing speed as they tend to have a very high potential.I think you shouldn't invest all your money into a single cryptocurrency instead try dividing your money and invest it in different cryptocurrencies so that you don't have to worry about too much lose.

That is huge for a beginner. Well if you are to invest that kind of money. Try to condense it. It is better if you did that thing. Because in condensing your portfolio, you can get a lot of profit out of it, because more coin=more possibilities. Try this, 20% on btc. 10% on eth. 5% on ADX, 5% on ctr, 5% on avt. Condensing part is just like that so you can follow it and add some coins that are promising.

Atctually it depends of what profit you want to get. If you want profit from a year or more my advice to hold bitcoins. Howewer if you want profit from month or two you shoud try to invest in altcoins, but always remember about risks.

first of all let me just say that I am a huge fan of this forum.

So where I am right now is that I have around 50 k to invest in crypto currencies.
My first thought was buying as many antminer l3+ as I could and then keep them in a hosting facility that I found.
then I thought that I should spil 50/50 between mining for litecoins and getting hardware to mine for ethereum.

I know that I am late to the game but I am still hoping that it is profitable.

I would just like to know what would you do ?

I wouldn't suggest to get into mining. Even if it looks profitable today it may change tomorrow. I have invested in mining myself. I made good money but just because the price of coins went up later. If I sold that time - would be +/- 0.

If you want to invest - take amount which you are ready to lose (or at least lose 2/3) and buy bitcoins

With 50 000 dollars. I would put 40 000 dollars on upcoming coins and trade. Put stop limit to limit the posses and just ride them up.

10 000 dollar I would lend to bitconnect and get great interest from. My buddy introduced me and I put 200 dollars for fun and its been giving me 16 dollars in 7 days. And you can reinvest that and get commission on that too.

I was a little bit scared in the beginning but everyone thinks everything is a scam even bitcoin in the beginning. They have a real currency that they are making a lot of money on so why would they destroy something so big that they have built.

And its been around for a time now and so far everybody has been happy with it.

You could even start with a small amount There is a video on youtube where this guy makes insane amount of money with 100 dollars and reinvests the commission as soon as it reaches 10 dollars.

If you want a long term portfolio, I would suggest an allocation about 30% BTC, 30% ETH, 20% LTC, 5% NEO, 5% NEM, 2.5% IOTA, 2.5% LSK, 2.5% OMG, 2.5% XMR. Or just buy Crush Crypto Core DAA from ICN. Or the index fund from ICN.

If you want a more active management, participate in ICOs, etc, probably to split 80% of your money in the above allocation and the rest 20% spread across various projects you believe in.

I would forget mining. Put some in bitcoin, some in good alts like Ethereum and NEO, some in more speculative alts.
And then maybe use a smallish percentage for trading - but learn how to trade first!

Right now I genuinely believe going with bitcoin is your best bet. At this point we're unstoppable, today we hit yet another all time high and I feel like 2018 is going to be a year for the history books. At this point it doesn't matter when you bought. It matters that you made the decision and bought. Of course you can always diversify but I would atleast recommend dedicating 75% to bitcoin.

50k is quite a lot to invest actually. If you make wise choices you can easily make it 100k in very short time. I would buy bitcoin with at least half of it and then buy some high potential alt coins like ark and waves. Just be very picky and analyz the markets well.

$50000 is a whole lot of money and as an investor, you might need to do your own research to find the best place to invest. However, for opinion sake, diversifying into the top 10 cryptocurrencies may really be a good option and distribute larger amount and keep reducing the percentage until you get to the last 10.

Yet, you might also want to consider ICOs as they are very good form of investment if you can do due diligence but never invest in an ICO blindly so your funds do not end up in the hands of scammers.
