The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

This is real? a Exchange 2 days after the first block, CPU only, a Japanese website with a 4chan/ramen style and gameboy music...

This coin is too surrealist for me...

Very unique algorithms / project - CPU mining, no GPU and no ASIC mining. So it will be true decentralized. Hope no ASIC will be developed in the future. Other alt coins may follow and use this algorithm.

Yescrypt is not unique. It's enough old algo. CPU-only coins are good at the very beginning until botnets don't know about them. And I hope this coin will not repeat HEXX fate

Got my first block.  No one needs a pool, even with the worst cpu possible you will get a block every few days.  Pools are only valuable when it takes months to get a block.

I think about 300 processors are now mining this coin. So proceeding from this and it is necessary to calculate to find the block.

Anyone knows the criteria to get better hashrate? More number of cores? I realized that old hardware and new hardware didn't have significant differences.

It is CPU speed and cache size it seems.  Cores doesn't seem to matter.  Probably similar to cryptonight so if you want to learn about how to optimize for that google it.  But like I said just keep increasing your threads till the sum of your threads has the max hashes/s

The problem of this algorithm is it will be vulnerable to botnet.

It is not the standard yescrypt.

So for now you must use minerd (I don't really know how that works, so I can't explain it).

http://coinsmarkets.com/trade-BTC-YTN.htm I recommend no one really sell at 500 sats.  Keep in mine the total supply right now is only about 66,000 YTN; there is no premine.

A no-premine new-algo project is worth at least $50k USD in my opinion.  This is not me trying to overstate by any means - SIGT hit $1 million + market cap in its early days.  So I think $50k is probably a super-low-end estimate.

If you spread $50k over 100,000 YTN (accounts for supply growth from 66,000), then divide by $6000 price of BTC, you get about a 8000 sats price.  So the sell orders are roughly right, but the buy orders need to come up to match it.  If this project ends up growing in the next 3-4 weeks because of the algo, it could go 2x-10x, but that is obviously a big risk that needs to be priced in.

Wow, I can't believe this has value already. I think the sell order for 2.22 BTC will sit there a while though...

Blocks are not so easy to find now, I haven't found any for about 20 hours since now the difficulty is twice as high. Keep trying though and you will eventually get one.
