ETH is the next high valued Cryptocurrency next to Bitcoin and soon will become as high valued as Bitcoin but the figure are way too far but there are possibilities because Bitcoin is very hard to earn today then ETH will have the best option for new investors that found good fortune through Cryptocurrency investments. In other terms, ETH can match Bitcoin side by side with blockchain structures and ETH even offers more flexibility, faster transaction and feature rich.

I'm in this crypto world about two months, I've been observing the power of ETH!
Most probably never. For one reason BTC is capped and the other is not. For another and probably more importantly bitcoin has had several years of first mover advantage and this is really tough to undue. Either Ethereum must have insane breakthrough never seen before or BTC must bust in a major way, neither of which I envision happening. Is it possible that in the future they cut the limit of supply of Ethereum? Somehow, can they stop the mining? It's impossible to mine Ethereum infinitely. The difficulty of Ethereum will shoot up exponentially. Next year there'll be a difficulty bomb. From that point on there will be far less new Ether created. Eventually the supply will grow by almost 0 a year. There are more Bitcoin miners today but someday perhaps ETH will have more miners and investors as well. If only big whales will try to manipulate ETH to raise the value like what Bitcoin happened in the last a couple of years. It will be profitable to mine ETH until they release Casper and ETH goes to POS. But the supply will never go to 0 per year as the people staking ETH will earn at least 5%.

ETH can match BTC. But, that will take a lot of time.

I dont think that Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin. This will never happen, because Bitcoin is too strong and it already grabbed to much attention!

I believe that only ETH has the potential to approach bitcoin, because the best altcoin in my opinion is ETH, and also its users continue to grow, but today the price of ETH is declining as it affects the price of bitcoin.

ETH can't match BTC in terms of coin value because of differences in supply, however thanks to it utility it's just a matter of time it will take over BTC's place as a market cap leader.
I strongly believe this is going to happen in 2018, especially after all these forks that are killing BTC.

Anything can happen but it is not possible in near future as their is huge gap in both currencies, maybe it will possible in long run as no one can predict the future of altcoins because of huge volatility in this market.

Actually we can not compare both these crypto currency because both has different different role If I do comparison of both that would not be fair. It seems its very tough for ethereum to match btc in coming years but ethereum has good potential too rise but the price gap between eth or btc is too much as of today. But we can't predict with full surity that ethereum can match btc. But I am sure ethereum will also have good value in future.

These question have been asked in the past also. There have been a few coins that wanted to or claimed that they would over take the price of bitcoin or at least its market cap, but guess what, they do not even exist today. Bitcoin is the real thing, rest all are called shitcoins for a reason.

It will never compare, I think. BTC is a legacy and a legend, it's price will increase even more in future, you'll see.

You mean in price aspects right! There are many technology gaps and adoption gap between both these coins but that bitcoin's value will increase in the chart in the comparison of Fiat money. In ethereum we cannot expect the same value or adoption we see in bitcoin. In volatile nature only we can compare both these coins. Even transaction name differes gas and fee for transaction.

ETH will never match BTC, but ETH can be 7500 dollar in the future just like BTC now. When that happens we expect BTC to be at least 50.000 dollar though.

Ethereum is the coin showing the biggest signs of growth in terms of technological development and blockchain upgrades. This may not equal to a flippening, but it probably will if Bitcoin can't find solutions to improve their chain (and keeps getting forked every month)..

Can ETH match current BTC price? I'd say yes. But can ETH match BTC as a whole or even beat it's price? I think it's impossible. However, when we think of it. It's just a matter of perspective and enough people speculating. I mean, ETH at least has a real usage for their coins, while bitcoin has evolved to almost purely speculative assets and people don't even want to make transactions with it, as it's price may raise in the future. Also in ETH case, I might be worried a bit about other projects overcoming Ethereum. I mean, there are new and technically better technologies that offer much better solutions to smart contracts. Without any proper response from Ethereum, they might become better one day and we will see projects like Lisk or Waves maybe being the leading ones.

Ethereum is more used for financing ICOs, transferring money from one person another, compared to Bitcoin which is more suitable for a long term investment. Its constant circulation slows Ethereum ability to accumulate value. The maximum supply of Bitcoin is 21 million and for Ethereum it will grow very slowly after 100 million. The market cap of Ethereum would have to exceed Bitcoin's current market cap of $125 billion several times over to match its price. (Still less than Apple's market cap though.)

That's impossible. I like Ethereum, it made me so much money. But let's be real, Ethereum is highly centralized around Vitalik. He can decide whether there will be fork or not alone. You can't trust a project like this. Ethereum is a good alt, nothing more. It will never even be half as Bitcoin.

ETH certainly has a bright future and it could reach bitcoins current levels but by that point bitcoin will possible be as high as 50k!

Ethereum will never reach the level of Bitcoin. However, think it over, is it really so important? It is also a very stable crypto, and it will be used (as I think) for many years. It is cheaper than BTC, thus, it is easier to buy it. Operations with ETH are also very fast.

ETH can surely go into 4 digits next year but Bitcoin will be into 5 digits then. ETH or any other coin is very unlikely to overtake BTC.

I terms of competition in the market place, no doubt thay ETH can't never be equal to bitcoin. Because mostly people are using btc in transactions not ETH. Although, ETH have potential but knowing its popularity- of course people will choice bicoin.
