Most people now with the rise of bitcoin value, just want to hold bitcoin for as long as they can so that they can maximize their worth. But isn't it a little too greedy to just keep holding bitcoin?
We've all read that story in the school with the moral "Greed is a Curse".
So what if too much greed in bitcoin may backfire? What if, the hodlers end up with nothing?
Holding bitcoin is not being greedy because it is your long term investment. The longer you hold your bitcoin, the larger profit you can get because as times goes by, the price of bitcoin is becoming larger. Just be patient in holding your bitcoin and dont do panic selling when bitcoin is experiencing a crash or downfall.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

No it's not greedy we have plan and method to hold Btc and to get more benefit. Holding Btc is one smart thought to make more earnings. It's conceivable to hold Btc to make it profitable in light of the fact that the cost of Btc getting higher and method in this month. It's our technique to hold Btc you don't state that it's greedy.

We've all read that story in the school with the moral "Greed is a Curse".
So what if too much greed in bitcoin may backfire? What if, the hodlers end up with nothing?

I don't think holding your bitcoin as much as you want means you're being greedy. For me, it just means that i am earning and waiting for the right time to invest or waiting all the money i earned to save me and my future.

I don't think that holding bitcoin for a long time is a greedy realization. This is the right investment strategy. I like to hold bitcoin for a long time, which I think will reduce the risk of investment.

Obviously If you have bigger amount of bitcoins then holding back will be risky but it can lead to good results too.
So everyone will have different opinion on this statement.

I agree.  Just like any other investment, holding them for a long time is not being greedy.  It will just give you more income if we do it that way.  It is just like saving money.  So that would mean that every person are greedy?  Holding means that you care for your future because you just wanted to have a good life afterwards.

I'm in support of your claim. Since one of the nature of bitcoin is fluctuations and volatility, holding them sometimes becomes tactical and smart. It gives the holder the chance to study the market and win it in the end - the tactical game play.

I think this is not greed, someone collecting or stacking this bitcoin is everyone's right, and if everyone is restricted in storing its assets, if so where is this financial freedom.

It's just that people who want to get bigger profits, but it's wrong, it's very risky if we have such properties, for me a little better than zero, because chances in the crypto world do not come twice so sell bitcoin at the right time, and buy it back at the right time.

It's a very strange statement that bitcoin keeps it greedy. And why should we sell it immediately when we bought it in the hope that it will bring us a certain profit? Acting at a loss, it's silly. To sell bitcoin, when the time has not yet come, is also silly. Everyone decides what is profitable for him and what does not.

Exactly thinking about your future is not greedy i think f you are hiding bitcoin it doesn't mean that you are greedy it is somehow your strategy just to earn a big amount of money they cannot say that it is a greedy moves. Holding bitcoin is quite good per everyone knew it so that don't listen to them if that's your strategy. Go.

We all have different sort of needs in our lives and even the way we hold our bitcoin varies depending on our situation. You can call it selfish all you want but we all live different kind of lives and we tend to be greedy for our loved ones good too. All of us makes up decision that causes someone to be pulled down just for us to rise up. Bitcoin is profitable and it depends on us on how we are going to make the most of it.

I think this is bitcoins biggest balancing act bitcoin needs to perform in order to succeed. the he problem is we need holders to bring the price high enough to where it is fungable and can be used as a currency

I don't think that holding bitcoin for a long time is a greedy realization, and I think it's a good investment, and people who trade in the short term are more greedy. Investing in bitcoin is also a kind of greedy behavior, and we know that bitcoin has great risks, but we still choose to invest.

Is holding on to your investment be called greedy? Evidently not. Long term investing or just plain holding is just making sure that one can successfully bring about his/her desired objectives for the future.

Holding bitcoin is not greedy in fact it is a good strategy to earn maximum profit. It will be greedy for some people but for me, it is the best way to earn a maximum profit and if you want to earn maximum profit it doesn't mean you are greedy it means you've got mine.

I don't think so. I believe in the future and concept of Bitcoin so holding on to it in the hope that one day I can use it widely and as easily as any other currency.

If times are hard though, I will sell  Grin
