Most people now with the rise of bitcoin value, just want to hold bitcoin for as long as they can so that they can maximize their worth. But isn't it a little too greedy to just keep holding bitcoin?
We've all read that story in the school with the moral "Greed is a Curse".
So what if too much greed in bitcoin may backfire? What if, the hodlers end up with nothing?
Holding your asset for a long time is not being greedy. I think holding it is actually a smart move. You dont just sell your bitcoin as soon as possible. All holders of bitcoin has their own desired  profit. They hold bitcoin because its value is still low and has not reach rhe profit that they want yet. The decision of when to sell their asset will always up to its owner. And these people that you call holders are just being careful of when to sell the amount they have.

I think holding bitcoin or any option digital currency is not selfish past you are just operate that for the profit you can acquire after time.  I think we just dependence to be contented in the region of what we can acquire, we just need to set a try and be OK considering it. I think that is the millstone to bitcoin holders these days, subsequent to Bitcoin price pumps occurring the holders think that they will be practiced to acquire more profit from it when they will be holding it more.

Holding bitcoin is an investment for your life, for the future. When some person hold and safeguards his bitcoins very well he does not so without reason. I am sure that he is thinking to himself that Bitcoin is a big opportunity in our time who can change any person life without discrimination. That is one of the merits of Bitcoin, it rewards only meritocracy and has no room for corruption like in real world job when the boss appreciate more one person because for example has connections to one of his parents. Bitcoin leaves no room for this and let me ilustrate it with a story we all know.

Some 17 year old boy was gifted 1000 or 1200 dollars from his grandmother, this boy decided to buy all this money Bitcoin and this have happened when bitcoin price was really cheap. Now this person is a rich person, no corruption or cheating involved to achieve the rich status, it was only his idea and bitcoin fully rewarded it.

It is not greediness for me. It is more of a risk taking for those who are holding their Bitcoin. Because, they might not really know what would happen after so many days on the value of Bitcoin. However, if you get lucky enough and the value of Bitcoin will rise then you get more profit.

Not really. It's the best thing you can do inatead of panic selling actually. People save money. People keep their money, for future use. That I think is not greediness. That is prudence I can confirm. That is a good characteristic of what a good bitcoin investor should be. We need more if of people like you who would rather choose to help bitcoin price get back on its feet firdt before thinking of themselves instead of the people who loses their minds at the sight of a price dip.

Nope, whoever who thinks that way is such a loser. You are given a freedom for you to invest without taxes and yet you thinks negative for that? That is a very big mistake, just do what you want. Do not panic when its value decreases you just need patience for it and do not put egg in one basket, you must diversify. Invest in other cryptos in order to earn more profit. Just remember that you control your own money.

We are free to do what we want in our life, if you think that holding can make you rich then don't worry about it, no one will ever tells you that you are so greedy because that is the perks of believing in the power of holding bitcoin, so if you want to change your life just do what you think is the right thing to do.

No I don’t think so it’s a greed actually it’s a kind of source of income and when the price go down so everyone they are buying bitcoin and then keep it on hold and then start to wait for a right time when the price go high then they sell all bitcoins and take a very good profit from it and that’s what I’m doing also to take a good profit.

most people who have bitcoins have it as an investment ,people normally start an investment with certain goals in mind , so im not sure how you could classify someone as being greedy for holding there investment if they have not yet achieved what they have set out to do ,  and even if they have you still could not classify them as being greedy because its not like bitcoins is a get rich quick scheme or ponzy scheeme . no bitcoins is the future of money .

By this way any investing in businesses are greedy--which is not the case. Wanting to live without worrying financially is not greed.

We live in a market dominated by the predatory capitalist system. It has always awarded to those who possess more things as the true winners of life. While it is true that the original idea of bitcoin was to undermine the current system, the entry of big capital here has made bitcoin another good desirable for everyone, so the desire to hold bitcoin is only a natural consequence of that.

A wish to get more profit is already greedness but anyway it's natural. People always want to get more and in this case it's not hard to get profit from bitcoin by wating.

Holding  does not in anyway display any form of greed, rather its a smart move to make the most of the little that one has, a greedy person tends to want it all,  Holding on the other hand is just waiting patiently for your investment to attract more value.

Exactly. It makes greedy in holding bitcoin because  you are tempt to make it higher. You invested on something so you're expecting to earn big profit so hodling would be a practical way to get that big profit. I believe that the key to become success is being wise in every discission you are going to make.

Right. There are many ways to invest and hoding, which is a very good investment in times when the market is down. Keeping bitcoin at this point is very reasonable because the market is falling a lot, if you sell bitcoin at this time you will suffer losses so hold until April that is the time the market rebounded.

No. Holding bitcoin is not being greedy, its about being smart with bitcoin. Being greedy is like being a corrupt person or like being a thief, they do anything to have more money even it is illegal. In holding bitcoin you earn more profit, it shows that you have a high financial IQ. You're earning money in a smart and legal way.

No, calling Bitcoin is not greedy. Bitcoin is the most valuable cryptocurrency. if we invest in Bitcoin as well as collect bitcoin we will be profited. so we should hold Bitcoin to be profited and it is not the matter of greediness.
