Re-open.  Many of you have expressed the desire to decide on your own who will assemble your chips onto a device of your choice.
the chips are due on October 1st according to BFLs information.
This does NOT affect those who already purchased chips here.  You will have your chips or you will be able to have them made into a device.  Choice will be yours at a later time.

BFL chip specs:

•    Design type: 100% Hand routed for performance density
•    Power consumption: 3.2 Watt per GH/s
•    Performance: 4 GH/s
•    Performance design: 16 engines @ 250mhz nominal (294mhz max)

I will be placing orders in multiples of 100 with BFL since this is their minimum order size.

price per chip is 0.06 btc.  I reserve to right to raise the price if exchange rate drops below 100 btc (price is based approximately around $60 USD per chip)

Minimum order 1 chip, although I recommend that you order 8 or 16 since it appears that hardware boards may be designed to use chips in multiples of 8, 16 (at the moment).  Feel free to order as many as you wish.

Shipping will be calculated when ready to ship, it will be based on USPS Priority flat rate boxes + insurance (so, inexpensive).  For orders of under 50 chips a padded flat rate envelope (priority or express) label should be emailed to me for shipping your chips out to you.  orders larger than 50 should fit into a medium box.  Please email your label to canary.btc@gmail.com

ensure the sending address is under your control, so you can sign with it in case of disputes

Question: "Can we just pay 50% right now for the order to be placed since BFL only needs 50% deposit?"
Answer:   I'm not doing 50/50 because I do not want us to be stuck if people take too long to pay the other 50% or back out completely.  Full payment is required so that payment can be made immediately to BFL.

ANnswer:  Sorry, no.
