I created my acount on suprnova, i created a worker but i can't mine. I am geting Stratum authentication failed
My *.bat file is like this
Quote
hodlminer_AVX2_AES -a hodl -o stratum+tcp://roi.suprnova.cc:4699 -u maxente -p x

You've missed to write the worker name after maxente, i.e maxente.rig1

I've added a pool for ROI:

https://roi.suprnova.cc

have fun mining !

What are the benefits to use those Pool instead of roi.optiminer.pl ?

Many small confirmed payouts vs few huge but unconfirmed payouts
The things are opposite but OK Smiley , the small unconfirmed payouts are in Optiminer , and what prevent the Pool owner not to pay miners. Because in Optiminer , miner get the payout on each mined block.
The exact question should be, does suprnova is more profitable than optiminer?

For now it's not for sure. But it might be if more miners come and spread the hashpower between those two pools. For me it's much reliable because it accepts more shares and doesn't request work restart so often. I've been mining quite a lot of coins there and never had problems.
On this stage this mean optiminer is still more profitable, because of hashrate.

This sentence makes no sense, your hashrate on both pools is the same and as long as the pool IS actually finding blocks, you'll get the same amount of coins.

Can someone please explain how term deposits work? The example on the website says a 12 month term-deposit would yield 593.8% giving 1,331 coins from a 1,000 coin deposit. It seems to me that even a 100% term-deposit yield would give 2,000 coins after 12 months but there must be something fundamental that I don't understand on how this is calculated and I can't see a detail explanation on the website.

On what exchanges this coin in listed? it's not on Coinmarketcap. Lot of premine goes to funding this project. Why only two exchanges so far?

The number of blocks a pool finds is not relavent to the overall yield on a particular pool. Larger pools give more frequent deposits to your account but smaller deposit amounts and smaller pools give fewer deposits but larger amounts. Given the random nature of coin mining either kind of pool should give equivalent payouts if they are both using the same payout method(PPS, etc.). The main differences between pools that should be considered are:
Pool has a good reputation of honesty, availability, and performance
Pool has low mining fees
Pool has low cashout fees and flexible options to set automatic cashout level
Pool is easy to setup and access by your miner

I think that particular example on the website is for a 3 month deposit.

"In other words, if you had 1000 coins term-deposited in your wallet - 3 months later you would have approximately 1,331 coins. Term-depositing is a way for you to get even more return on your investment."

For a 12 month deposit you would receive an additional 5,938 coins at 593.8%. When you make a deposit the wallet will tell you how much you can expect at the end of your term before you confirm the deposit. Once you deposit, you'll also be able to see your deposits and returns in the overview section of your wallet. I've deposited my coins in for 12 months.

Hello

Does cluster mining works now?

I write in batch file  -a hodl --url=http://roi.hopto.org:23110 -u mine -p miner -t 4 --coinbase-addr="My address" -P -q

And when I click the batch file I get the following:

C:\Users\softmane\Downloads\roi-coin-hodlminer-wolf-2-cluster>roiminer.exe -a hodl --url=http://roi.hopto.org:23110 -u mine -p miner -t 4 --coinbase-addr="My address" -P -q
[2018-02-08 16:39:09] 4 miner threads started, using 'hodl' algorithm.
[2018-02-08 16:39:09] JSON protocol request:
{"method": "getblocktemplate", "params": [{"capabilities": ["coinbasetxn", "coinbasevalue", "longpoll", "workid"]}], "id":0}

* Rebuilt URL to: http://roi.hopto.org:23110/
* timeout on name lookup is not supported
*   Trying 81.109.239.33...
* TCP_NODELAY set

What could be the issue?

I have tried to mine through http://roi.optiminer.pl:8081 It works but it is super super slow (36 h/s) 1 ROI in an hour. My PC i7 8 cores. Also I tried solo mining from wallet and it is much faster like 250 h/s. Why there is such difference in speed? Should it not be faster through pool mining? Oh in addition to this, though the hash rate on solo mining from wallet is 250h/s I have not got any mined coins during 7 hours of working and it is still working (Why is that?). In pool I get coins every hour.

What is the best way to configure and mine so as to get the highest hash rate and get the coins? Please people help me to sort it out.  Smiley

Cluster mining is offline currently so it doesn't work.

Solo mining is totally depends on total network hash rate, difficultly and luck. I strongly recommend pool mining since that way you will get steady income on regular basis. If you don't like http://roi.optiminer go and try https://roi.suprnova.cc/ pool I am currently mining there and its working great so far

Are you running this version ROIcoin-qt-v113-hotfix1.exe?

It is the same with 1.1.2 or 1.1.3
yesterday it was stuck in block 50616.
Today is working, synchronizing well. I do not even have the computer restarted, solved.

Thanks for your help.-

Hello, I am fairly new to mining.  I am having some issues with my wallet miner crashing while solo mining, and someone suggested that I use my hodl miner aimed at the wallet to circumvent the issue.  What would I use in my batch file to do this?  Thanks!

The network hash is very high at the moment. So in my opinion it is no good idea to start solo mining at the moment if you only have a usual PC. It will be very frustrating if you don't find any blocks for perhaps days or weeks. I would suggest that you start pool mining. You find different pools on the first page of this thread. Most pools have a short description how the batch file has to be configured.

I have a decent cpu, getting around 500h/s which nets me 1-4 blocks per 8 hour session (1 with the current network hash) which is far better than the 2-3 coins/hour i'd get from pool mining (at least that's what I get from optiminer).  My problem is the wallet crashing while i'm away so I'm missing half of the night of mining.  I brought this up on github and they didn't know why the wallet would be crashing, and neither do I, but someone suggested that I point my hodl miner at the wallet to circumvent the problem.  I don't know what batch code would work for that however, what stratum/tcp/ip address?  Is anyone doing this, and if so, what is your full batch file code?  Thanks again!  Grin

It should look something like this:

hodlminer.exe -o http://127.0.0.1:23110 -u mine -p miner -t 4 -D --coinbase-addr=RSKSygcgXt24qAU2UhkacypbxCkD6nk1PM

Of course use your own address for --coinbase-addr!

Didn't follow the thread in the last couple of days. But the fact you can mine ROI on suprnova is a great step forward!
Is my favorite pool, never get any kind of problems with it. I can see I nice future for the coin.
I think a big exchange will come in the near future.
