Hi All! So the Cluster Node is now back online.
We have been testing the new node and are happy to put it out there for everyone to test.
We would like it if you could give a few hash to the cluster.
You can mine to the cluster with your miners just use this config with your own wallet key.

hodlminer-avx2.exe -a hodl -o http://roi.hopto.org:23110 -u mine -p miner --coinbase-addr=RJsFF8fgC7QVYvVSa93x8J2VhTtiS1mtwz -D

I'm putting my miners averaging 1kh/s to cluster node. Trying cluster mining.

When will i get my payout for cluster mining? Already 24 hrs of continues mining and averaging 1000 kh/s speed. On pool i'm reaching 170 to 190 roicoins per day.

Hi Necromars,

Payout is instant if you find the winning nounce. Cluster mining is good and better than solo mining because each miner acts as a CPU thread.
BUT we must remember there are only 720 (ish) blocks in a day. And there is alot of hash power on the network.
Last time I looked suprnova pool had 830 workers. So on that pool alown thats 830 instances all holding diff data in the 1gb ram and all having diff hash speed and thats just one pool. If we take it on that one pool if each miner was to find a block each in a day there would be 110 workers not getting a block. This is why pools was made so every one can get a cut. The cluster is made as a better chance of soloing a block.

The cluster is there not for big miners but for small miners to connect to if they wish to solo mine giving the lil guy a chance at a block.

Yes with 1kh on it you will be doing more work but that is not to say you will find the winning nounce. But the next day you may find lots of nounces.

We are ram mining after all and each instance will hold a diffrent set to hash. This is why you can set more than one instance so you get better chance of finding the block.

Look at nice hash. Nice hash is not made up from 1 miner its lots of miners all at a diffrent hash rate hashing diffrent blown up files in the mem.

When the network gets like it is things get hard and pool is the way to go if you want a stream of coins.

If you have a small pc/laptop you would like to just stick on the cluster and forget about to solo mine that is the way to go.

I have had big hash on the cluster most of the night and not got a winning nounce yet. But I have been watching and peeps are getting blocks its just about getting the winning nounce. Luck plays most part when the network hash is high.

As I said if you have a small low power unit that gets 50-200hs and it costs next to nothing to run. Stick it on the cluster and forget about it is the best way.

That's right Raster a lot of changes were made and one of the big ones was switching to the MIDAS difficulty algorithm and it turned out great so far!

I am like to see something like an earnings estimate calculate and a cpu comparison hashrate will be good too.

I would like to point out to the miners on the cluster that putting 1KH on in one instance is the same as putting 100 hash on in one instance.

If you are going to mine the cluster and have big CPUs you need to run more instances.

EG... A HP DL580 G7 should have 16-20 instances open. a G8 would need 18-22 and a G9 would be 25-35 instances open.

so if running 20 instances your rig needs to have 20 GB of ram just for mining.

The way the cluster is made is so small cpus can get a chance to mine a block. The cluster splits the work to the instance like it would in a cpu to the other cores.

Each instance works as a core. more instances better chance of the cluster winning a block. If your rig gets the winning nounce you win 100% of the block and it will go in to your wallet just like if you was mining alown.

If you have a laptop that can do 200 HS on a pool run 2 instances to the cluster if you have enough ram.

That cluster thing is a bit hard to understand to me, and for a newbie.... my mom will not live long enough understand it.  Maybe the guide in the ANN need somekind of comparaison/advantage.

Ultimately the pool is a more save option for everyones.

Last April 2 - 3 2018 i'm running 2 Servers (2x xeon x5650 - 24 threads ), 1 core i7 3770(4 threads) , 1 amd fx8350 (4 Threads) , 1 server xeon (3 threads ) and 1 corei3 (3 threads) averaging 1000 kh/s running for 24 hrs on cluster mining for a test but no luck to find a block. All together can mine 170 to 190 roicoin using pool mining averaging 1000 kh/s for 24 hrs. Running all cpu with affinity selected for power saving.
