will a member rank slide down?

A member can lose his status and return to junior member if he loses his posts for a whole x periods (deleted by him or by mod) (and x is the number of periods required to lose the rank).
This doesn't apply for hero and legendary.

in two weeks, every tuesday, the activity updates and a new 14 activity points could be claimed once you make a post at least but you need to wait an hour for it to show in your profile. BTW you are a junior member now with 42 activity.

Just read the post above you if you didn't pay attention on the first post. It is written :
Newbie: No styling (including links) allowed. Max 50 characters.
So yes you can put a signature but with limited features.

As I know now jr. member also cannot wear a signature. All those people of this rank must be made a great panic here on the forum about this new rule. But I think it's a good change, at least now new users have more time to introduce with crypto and the forum and the reappearing of the same questions over and over will move to a minimum.

Don't know from where comes this rumor, afaik newbies and junior members can't have a direct link in their signatures. And if you take a look in the previous page, barely all newbies and junior members have signatures

You are missing an important point!
As I know, new users, including Junior Members can definitely wear signature code, but they can not attach links to website, github, discord, facebook, twitter, etc. inside their signature. You can take my case as a specific example.

At what point can i add signatures

Perhaps the allowed signature styling should change with activity score / membergroup. Like:
- Newbie: No styling (including links) allowed. Max 40 characters.
- Jr. Member: Links allowed. Max 100 characters.
- Member: Unlimited length.
- Full: Color allowed.
- Sr. Member: Size allowed
- Hero: Background color allowed

Then newbies will be less effective advertisers, which would hopefully significantly reduce the incentive for low-content posts. And when people become capable of effectively advertising through their signatures, they'll have invested a lot of time into their accounts, and they won't risk being banned by spamming.

I am assuming that you ended up making a post and immediately ended up looking at your rank. You will need to give it an hour since it gets updated every hour.

I don't think it's impossible. It's only been a couple of weeks so far and I've gained 89 merits so far. That's a lot quicker than the 14 activity I can gain in the same time.

The activity and merit point system as it applies to rank up is taking the pattern of football league table. When two teams are having same points, the one on top will have a better goal difference 'GD'. So also in merit and rank up.

If your activity is due for rank up, you will need equivalent merit point before you are upgraded and vise versa.

I know that. I'm pointing out that if you can get merit faster than activity then it is not going to change how quickly you rank up. It will still be the same schedule as it ever was.

Its good to know the process in membership. Having lots of quality posts and gaining merits are lots of hardwork. One needs to read and study everything. So admire those who are in the higher ranks for getting into that high.

Yes and you are already a junior member since it requires 0 merit to pass from newbie to junior member, however think to improve the quality of your posts in order to get some merit points. (you need at least 10 merit to be a member after reaching 60 activity)
