Yes this a great thing in the forum now. It is better than the merit system previously applicable in the forum. This will definitely remove some account spammers in the forum.

Hard to get what you are asking here exactly but let me try. Are you asking about how to increase your activity ? This requires you to make posts in different activity periods. Activity period is of 14 days and you can see all activity periods start and end date here

Maximum you can get in one activity period is 14 activity. Thus suppose you make 16 posts in current activity period. Your activity will be 14. Once you make a post in next activity period , it will become 16+1= 17.

Before, once you reach this range of 240 to 252 (Sr. Member required activity) your rank will automatically be re-adjusted to Sr. Member. Now, with the introduction of the Merit & new rank requirements theymos said, "In addition to activity, everyone now has a merit score, and you need both a certain activity level and a certain merit score in order to reach higher member ranks."

Below are the required scores, so you need to have 250 Merits for you to become Sr. Member.

Anybody who is deleting a significant number of posts will be doing it for a reason, most likely not a good or honest one so I don’t think there should be a warning in there at all tbh buddy.

Yes and I believe that too, theymos have always new and bright idea to make forum more informative and helpful to everyone that's looking for a good source of information. Though at first, some really got surprised by the new ranking system and didn't get any logic for the new rules but now things are getting better here especially the quality of posts.

The fact is you will never earn any merit to rank up to Member rank if you keep posting such garbage like this.
Doing this will also put you under higher risks of being added to Ignore lists of other users.
Remember:
Only post when you have interesting things do contribute to discussions.
Composing your threads better, as unique, creative as possible.
Don't post when you have nothing to contribute to discussions.

Actually, even if anyone does post some truly 'beautiful' posts even then no only will be probably able to make it to legendary in their lifetime with this messed up system.

I know your account is brand new, but before you go any further I suggest you take a better look around at what is expected on this forum. Your five initial posts cannot be any worse (well they could, but let’s leave it there).

I doubt that you’ve really found this thread “very insightful” at all. Specifically, re-floating this thread is rather pointless, as it gives only a partial vision of the system (Activity) and does not include a view on Merit (new this year). Both are complementary, but the mindset for raising Activity has nothing to do with the required mindset (and skillset I’d say) required for being awarded Merit.

I will not point you here to the proper threads you should be looking at, since you should search for them yourself and they cannot be missed really. Ideally, stich to the Beginners & Help section for a while and read, read, read. I doubt you’ll comeback to this thread anyway, so I’m probably answering in vain here as often happens.
