Picked iota, vertcoin, walton, lisk, neo and binance...
And what happens, bloody fork canceled and my picks rocket up today by an average of 20%.
Now I am left with 15000 euros uninvested and wondering what to buy and when.

I don't think it's late. Altcoins price rise will continue. Invest your money in them right now. Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, Stratis, Waves and any other altcoin which is listed in top 20 on coinmarketcap are good choices.

It's a bitter lesson to learn but one that many fell for. In most markets and especially this space, if everyone is doing the same thing you should be thinking of alternative approaches. In this case MANY people were buying into bitcoin and planning to get into alts around the fork, and youtube/twitter influencers were all telling their followers this was a good approach and should have been a red flag. At least you were in the minority who were planning to switch to alts BEFORE the fork, which would have been a better strategy.

For what it's worth, no one was really anticipating this. I would wait on any alts that just pumped and wait for a bit of a pullback.. Many quality alts still have not yet pumped and still have a good buying opportunity.

LOL at least you still got some portion of that 20% rise! Spend the rest on major altcoin, like ETH and LTC. That two coin, notably suffer quite a lot of price decrease because of the fork, isn't pumping yet since the cancellation news. Those coin, as always, still have a lot of potentials and a big room to grow.

Or simply invest the rest 15K euros to BTC

Wow man, this is really a very bad story, but dont lose your hope, you still have a lot of chances to invest and make a lot of money, if you have that amount of money, invest that on bitcoin right now, it is probably going to be very expensive before the end of this year, so you are not losing anything.
Maybe a twenty percent is a huge amount of money, but you can easily recover it if bitcoin goes upto $8200 from now, so dont worry mate, you still have some cards to play, lmao.

Normally you enter cryptoworld via BTC (or ETH, LTC)...so for now, since you are holding Euros, you better wait for BTC to go down before purchasing.  Your wait may take weeks.

Investing in alts will depend on where the good coins are at that point.
