If there are enough users and miners we can still use this coin without problems.
I still believe in Xencoin. It has only 20 second confirmation and other great features and thus it could be used in many ways, e.g. for fast payment for goods through mobile phone.

e.g. if you compare it to Primecoin which offers nothing special besides searching for Primenumbers. And Primecoin is traded everywhere and people and users are interested in it.
If less people are mining it, difficulty decrease and they will have more coins. For example Primecoin went down from initial 0.01 BTC to 0.0018 and then rose to 0.016 BTC without some significant reason. I wonder why Primecoin is sold for 0.0063 BTC right now and maybe it will grow again to 0.016 BTC or even more and people demand it more than Xencoin maybe only because of idea of searching for prime numbers.
In my opinion if there are many miners of Xencoin, I think price will grow.

We still can go on with Xencoin. We are not depended on developer!

Nobody knows who is Satoshi Nakamoto and bitcoin can still be used without problems and people are demanding it.

If we still be mining Xencoin and trading we don not need original developers and we can take over further development of coins. It is only up to us where the coin will go!
Everybody knows that whoever Satoshi Nakamoto is, he still has around 1.000.000 BTC and nobody cares.
In my opinion maybe 10-20% of BTC are traded and the rest lie in PC untouched because people are expecting evaluation.
But it is based only on expectations - otherwise BTC is outdated , it needs many long confirmations and other disadvantages.

I'm still interested (and mining) and excited about this coin.  I'm not going to lie, I didn't expect the 'bank' to launch on the date the countdown displayed.  Designing something like this takes time and often it is spent on for other parties.  As much as we want sometimes, from a fiance and investment stand point, we just need to wait for some of these things.  New ideas take years to develop properly.  If I recall correctly, the developer posted a few weeks ago that they were running into legal issues of converting USD into cryptocoin.  These things take time.

This is another reason I’m excited about the coin.  Twenty seconds for a confirmation is about the same amount of time it takes to check-out at a store.  There are millions and millions of this coin (well really billions) which will help keep the value low.  Between the billions of units, and the super fast confirmation, I believe this coin has the potential of being the first crypto-currency that is used as a CURRENCY.  As mentioned on other posts bitcoins, litecoins, and other coins take too long to confirm and are frequency ‘saved.’  With proper development, this coin has the ability to be used as ‘cash.’  To me, this is very exciting.

some people say, next year BTC would be $1000 or more- and I wonder what satoshi would do with these bitcoins.       imagine you put a limit order at MTgox or Bitstamp and try to sell just a fraction - e.g. 100.000 BTC.    If it were me, I would not want to posses these coins because so much money could bring you only big trouble....


All cryptocoins are only about trust and expectations. If you buy stock or options, it is much more expensive and loses are much worse. What do you risk here? nothing. Xencoin is not overvalued like many other coins. If people keep on using it and mining it we can survive and use all the good that is in this coin.

I still believe in the coin, if we compare it to other coins, of course, it is Litecoin based using scrypt with some adjustments but if it was developed a year ago, everybody would be using it and it would be a killing.
At first I noticed this coin because it has same name as my dog what made me lough.
Then I was expecting new Exchange and P2P bank, because there is a gap on market, many people are missing service like this. It is a great idea and if Xencoin survive, it can be implemented by other Exchange or bank.
Because despite all bad what happened and missing developers we can go on further without them. It is like P2P. I think most of premined coins , if not all, were already sold at coins-e and if currency absorbed these 100 mil and people are still holding it, it proved to survive almost two months, it can keep on going further.
Now we are at the bottom. If there are still many users and miners we can only grow.
Basically idea of this coin is solid and good and if community which is already around Xencoin would keep on using and mining we can move further.

Let me see, which is worse? A dev that disappears or one (muddafudda) that screws the miners of his coin (memecoin) by getting in moved to the LTC market on cryptsy to make room for his next scam coin (Globalcoin) in the btc market?

I am also very unhappy because I spend last 4 weeks by mining Xencoins all day and night and thinking where it can go.
I thought I may buy something nice for coins to my dog, because he has almost same name. I couldnot sleep because I expected huge potential and bright future for the coin. Now I can clearly see that developers were not ideal guys (politely said) but I dont want to throw away all my effort and Month of my lifetime which I put to Xencoin. I think that we can still go on. If i compare it to other coins - it is still not so bad. We can still be mining Xencoins, we can still trade them on 2 exchanges, XNC price is already so low so that it hardly can be lower.

For example Ixcoin - one of early cryptocoin. It has low value, it went through even worser periods, its developer also doesnot work much last year on project, maybe it doesnot have even its own webpage but it is still living, people are mining it and you can trade it. And some people here have big plans with Ixcoin.

However we have nothing to loose, If we move on, we may find some good people who can help us with possible future development of application and project. And meanwhile we can still be mining. If all people would stop, it would kill the coin and with it ends all hopes!

But we all could benefit if we try to solve this unwelcome situation and save the coin. There will be much worser coins, now every week are new ones and Xencoin proved to be quite vital. I started to search among my friends if anybody could help us, I simply assume it is shame to let it die. Even if you také it from pure financial point of view, as an investment. Many of us, including me couldnot afford to buy stocks or bonds because they are very expensive and in case of loss you loose much more.
I still believe that for relatively small effort we all could benefit from relatively vital coin. We cannot know what future brings, and with current price it can only grow. Someone may enable the coin to be spent for casino or poker or satoshi dice. What is the difference among cryptocoins? It is all only matter of trust and future  expectation. Thus I will keep on mining and trying to help Xencoin live. At least I will try because is summer and I have time for it.

I spent last all days and nights by mining and making plans with new coin. Perhaps like you. So much time.
However I still think that we could go on without developers. We dont need them.
We can still be mining coins and try to keep it alive because we have nothing to loose, If we move on, we may find some good people who can help us with possible future development of application and project. And meanwhile we can still be mining. If all people would stop, it would kill the coin and with it ends all hopes! My computer is turned on the whole day anyway. Still believe that easier option is go on.
Why BTC should be better? Mysterious Satoshi who doesnot develop coin anymore still has over 1 million BTC - over 10% - and who cares?

You need to wait sometimes 2 hours before transaction has all needed confirmations. Today you need to invest in Asic to mine just a fraction of bitcoin. And it could end any day regardless on you.
