I think privacy coins are very important in crypto, and hold the true nature and intention of this space. I believe that 2018 will be a big year for privacy based projects.

If you had $10k to invest, where would you spread it in privacy coins and why? Which ones do you think will truly succeed and stand the test of time?

Some options to work with:

Monero
Zcash
ZenCash
Verge
Cloak

My vote goes to Monero, but I'm really liking ZenCash.

ZenCash has a low supply and was recently hyped up on the Palm Beach Confidential newsletter and is a full blown privacy platform. Monero seems to me like a very strong currency with excellent standards for privacy, and a relatively low supply. I can see both of these coins in the $1000+ price.

all of them is dumped.

market is really in very bad situation now.
i hope it will correct itself but it will take long time

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

How does the future sound for verge with all the hacks that is going on around and with the project asking for funds from the community .Does it impact the potential and credibility of verge ?

The moment verge's devs and shills tried to claim IP obfuscation was the holy grail of anonymity, they lost all credibility. If they had just stuck to being doge dark, they would have still been a shitcoin, but they would have been an honest one.

Verge is certainly not the best "privacy" coin. I would go with Moreno, Zcash. Dcred seems interesting too

A lot of good options are already mentioned here , but i would be careful to invest in privacy coins. Governments seem to dislike them , so if they are banned there is a chance the price will go down.

Price always went up when any government banned anything.  It happened with alcohol in usa prohibition 100 years ago. It happened with drugs it happened with any illegal service.  It happened with bitcoin. Price always goes up.

I think Zencash and Verge  can be very popular in near future. Monero has bad reputation because all this drug stories

Drug dealers are proof of a privacy coin's usability, the fact that they aren't using one is a clear sign that it will never gain mainstream use for privacy, because if you care about privacy, the best proof is the bad guys like it and the good guys fear it. Though I'm sure speculators who don't care about real world adoption will keep pumping these shitcoins until the bubble burst.

I think ETH is a coin with high security technology, ETH wallet is one of the most advanced technology in comparison to other altcoin. So create yourself an ETH wallet account to store the tokens. Most tokens are based on the ETH wallet platform.

I think CMT has the most advanced and safest Blockchain technology for us to hold. Currently, Blockchain CMT is compatible with intelligent ETH contracts, which are the most advanced technology available today.

I think that the leader among the anonymous coins is Monero. And no other coin will be able to force it out of its place in the near future. But this does not mean that Monero has the best technology. The popularity of this coin appeared because of the efforts of devs.

As coders say Monero is probably the best anon coin. It works great. It hides your deposit with stealth addresses and it can hide transactions. By the way some people suggest Zcash is even safer than Monero but, zcash code is buggy.

Take a look at ZEC. Really one of the most anonymous in market. It is already well established and rather popular, also has solid project team

Monero will be my choice for the best privacy coin.
To those that are mentioning the most popular ones don't forget that there's a lot of it.
Sumokoin is also a privacy coin.

Although crypto has the best security, the user is still you so learn how to protect your account from being stolen. Most of today's altcoins have very good security, keep private key carefully and secure account with 2FA which is the way to help you minimize the possibility of hacker intrusion.
