Your portfolio is nice, but I think you should change XRP by IOTA. Because as you can see in 2017, Ripple does not have an good development like other coins. So IOTA is better.

Don't try to replicate historical returns by being overly aggressive on future crypto bets.

Take everything EVERYONE says with a grain of salt and understand their underlying motivations
Start slow investing and make your mistakes small, then learn from them
Buy some larger cap cryptos like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, etc, and then track them for a few weeks. Learn from their movements, then jump into the smaller

Hi guys,

Newbie here trying to set up a crypto profile. 1 month ago I had heard the name Bitcoin but didn't know what it was other than a digital currency and had not heard of any alt coins so bear with me  Undecided

I don't have a huge amount to invest, thus far i have 0.13 BTC and 2 ETH, 2.6k XRP AND 50 OMG. I want to keep adding to this and keep it for as long as needed, i  am not really interested in trading as i don't understand this space enough to do that.

Any ideas or thoughts? Should i move any of these around? Concentrate on adding to bitcoin? Add to XRP/OMG etc etc???

Also i have a ledger nano s en route to keep my coins.

cheers
When are you planning to invest in something?
If you are ready to start then begin to research every coin that you run across.

I’m now at BTC 27.32% ETH 17.34% OMG 6.21% XRP 36.4% and I’ve added LTC @ 12.1%

I’ve bought more of all my coins and have done well last week or so especially LTC and XRP  yesterday. I haven’t sold any as I want to keep all at least till 2019. I’ll be adding to this weekly and looking at other coins to diversify a bit.

Question is I’m thinking of using some of my profits in one of my coins to buy more XRP. Not Omise though ya! ETH, LTC or BTC. Any thoughts?

The only thing you  need to do is to do your on research and read more about crypto currency, you can join different forums, post on some threads and ask question.
You need to be careful in what altcoins your going to invest. Some of it are shitcoins, what is shitcoins? All coins that just pumps hard and the developers dump it afterwards
and run away with the money. Invest what you can afford to lose.

If you are a newbie in cryptoworld, my advice for you is dont stop on learning, you should be always read and study the things you didnt know about bitcoin, and if you are a newbiw you shoul know the rules and my another advice for you is have a long patience because here in bitcoin it may take a long time before you can finally earn a money.

Just be patient in reading and exploring things that might interest you. Study some tips on trading and make your quality and substantial. Do not stop on learning things ahead of you.  There are lots to be learned in the world of cryptocurrencies.

You should keep reading about cryptocurrency and try to learn how the things work in the market. Don't forget to observe and of course only listen to your own instincts in the end. You shouldn't hurry about investing.

Wow! As a newbie, you have greater amount of cryptocoins than higher rank members in here. As a newbie, I suggest that you hold your bitcoin because there are predictions that it will hit up to $20k and I believe that it will continue growing in the future. You can also trade but this is risky and I do not recommend it for a newbie. There are so much to learn about it.

You can start without money and by participating in bountyy programs you can actually earn a lot.

My favourite altcoin right now is Viberate (VIB) because it implements a great bounty program.

Check it out: https://www.viberate.com/referrals/2ed6b8b9_9588dc25_2edd6fe5

imho Ripple isn`t a good choice neither for short-term nor for long-term investition, other coins have great perspectives and you should hold them
Ripple is an investment that could make the investor money. It depends on how the investor looks at it.

Generally, I listed are mostly for long term holds. It's completely your observation, in which way you would like to go. Several privacy coins have a future. Always remember, if they have good tech, team, support, and a good business plan they have a profitable future!
