Hi guys,

Newbie here trying to set up a crypto profile. 1 month ago I had heard the name Bitcoin but didn't know what it was other than a digital currency and had not heard of any alt coins so bear with me  Undecided

I don't have a huge amount to invest, thus far i have 0.13 BTC and 2 ETH, 2.6k XRP AND 50 OMG. I want to keep adding to this and keep it for as long as needed, i  am not really interested in trading as i don't understand this space enough to do that.

Any ideas or thoughts? Should i move any of these around? Concentrate on adding to bitcoin? Add to XRP/OMG etc etc???

Also i have a ledger nano s en route to keep my coins.

cheers

OMG is a great coin IMO, I believe it will increase substantially this year. Ripple is the opposite, it's the bankers coin so they will manipulate the price like they do everything else. Also it is not decentralized.

I would diversify your portfolio, and add some other alts with great potential which are low right now such as (SALT, Theta, QSP, 0x)

My advise for newbie, don't invest before you learn enough. A newbie should research few month and study about  crypto currency. Must know how to analysis chart both fundamental & technical. There are a lot source to learn knowledge about cryoto currency. You can get huge idea from youtube, Twitter, facebook and others social Medea. Another important thing is emotion. You need to know how to control your emotions when you open a trade and also need to know good coin choosing.  Always diversify your invest. Do not  invest your all money in one coin.

As you are new to the cryptocurrency market any investment in the cryptocurrency market is should now be for the purpose of understanding the market rather than gaining profits there will be a risk in any investment, however, the risk to some extent will be magnified by the new less and extreme volatility of bitcoin since the group to currency market is a high-risk space.

If you are investing in the crypto currency world do not start with the direct investing in bitcoin some people might say that that is the see if option to go but if you really want to understand how to crypto currency market works you have to know the alternative to majority of the crypto currency's like iota Stratis  and other Cryptocurrencies which have their own Block Chain network

without learning and doing some research about cryptocurrency market, he cannot gain the profits and it's only risk his investment. he needs to spend some time to learn and try to understand the market so he can use the opportunity to make a profit. but in the other side, if he decides to buy some coins and will use the coin as his investment then he doesn't have to worry about the volatility of the price because if he uses cryptocurrency as the investment, it means he doesn't want to sell in short periods.

Suggestion to you as a newbie would be to study the resources about cryptocurrencies before doing anything else. It's very easy to get tricked or hacked when holding the crypto

Well if you're a newbie and ask me what to do then i recommend to you that before you go in this kind of world or industry the firet thing you do about this is you have to research about what the cryptocurrency and how to use it properly and the importance and the benefits of the cryptos. If you want to invest then research to the coinmarketcap

Yes, we need to devote more time to studying the projects and technologies of the block chain, this is surely going to benefit. You also need to have at least basic trading skills on crypto exchanges, this is also very important.

Since the crypto currency market is very unpredictable, we always need to have a contingency plan for an unforeseen event. We must always be ready to lose the invested money, which is why we can not invest our last funds.

This is true, the best advice for a beginner is not to engage in day trading. The best option is investing in bitcoin for a long time. Of course you can not invest your last funds, it can have sad consequences.

I advise you to learn about the basics of bitcoin, specifically about how blockchain works.
besides that, try to understand the trading, because if you can understand trading, you will get a lot of money

The standard urge for amateur isn't to try to trade. It's troublesome movement despite for experienced people. The second direction is that you should reliably upgrade your threats. In case you don't have adapting better just hold bitcoin in a manner of speaking. regardless, the degree that I can see the coins you are holding at the present time is an OK coin. nonetheless, recall, that when bitcoin costs increase, altcoin cost will fall.

I think for a beginner now is to multiply reading how we get altcoin yes like following a bounty campaign program, among others is bounty social media, signature campaign and others. or following an airdrop program being held by a project. then that way we will benefit from our work as bitcoiner. besides that there are many more jobs or ways to get an altcoin from a variety of ways depending on how we seek how far we try.
